I've seen NightFlight ads everywhere, the marketing campaign has to be pricey. I wonder how many people arrive to the park / book trips only to see a half-built ride when they get there.

I think Dollywood is doing this ride (and, by extension, the park) a significant disservice if they open NightFlight before it's done. They should have made the call to delay the whole attraction by a full year months ago. Desperately scrambling to try to open an incomplete, water-based ride at the end of the summer season makes absolutely zero sense. It's bad for the ride, it's bad for the park, and it's leaving a ton of potential for a full, proper rollout next season on the table.

Where has this been posted???

It was part of several news coverages of the official ride opening announcement. WVLT-8 mentioned this, as well as several other news outlets.
I see that upon opening, they had a two hour delay; but after that, most reviews I've seen are very positive. Don't know if the announcement is still up on Dollywood's site, but they had the disclaimer that this was being treated as a "dress rehearsal" and that not all elements would be available, as well as a disclaimer that ride issues may arise.
