I have effectively decided after waiting 3 hours for DarKoaster and Rapterra at the first opportunity to ride............I will be waiting until after this ride opens to go ride it.

Get there early. Rapterra had a 15min wait in the beginning
Counter-point: I got to KD a hour before the park opened. By time I got down to the ride, it was a 20 minute wait. So I still effectively waited 1 hour 20 minutes.

From my previous experience BGW is terrible at getting people into the parking lot. They're better at getting people through the entrance, just not the parking lot. The only case that'll benefit is how far in the back this ride is which could allow for some manageable re rides for the rope droppers, however people should still equate the time waiting in the parking lot/ entrance to be some of the few to get to the ride first.

Counter point to you counter point. I got to KD ten minutes before gates opened yesterday. Got down to Rapterra about 10 minutes after gate open with a restroom stop on my way and had 4 rides in by the 1 hour mark including one less then 5 minutes after entering the line.

This would be the preferred experience for Big Bad Wolf without standing in line for 3 hours or having a small window to arrive at the park possibly taking PTO just to not actually stand in the line itself.

Not sure how this is a counterpoint to what @I305Evan was saying.

As I read his post, he was saying that if you got to the park early enough on opening day to score a 20 minute wait, you were probably outside the gates and/or turnstiles for at least an hour. So, calling it a 20 minute wait is disingenuous.

Your having short wait times days after opening really just makes @CoasterAuditor’s original case.

If anyone wants a translation for the murals in the video, the one with the eagle holding the sign says "The Friendly Eagle," and the banner one with "restaurant" on it says "Remember the past, but don't live in it."

1hr wait sitting in my car with my music and not killing my back is weighed COMPLETLY different to me than standing in a boring line doing nothing. Time is irrelevant if you have fun doing whatever your're doing
