Honestly it wouldn't be a terrible idea, random wolf howls from different structures, bells ringing effects, etc.Well, off ride audio works wonderfully on nessie

Never would I have thought I'd see someone calling B&M an off-brand. Granted, I'm not the biggest fan of B&M, but they're about the most on-brand brand in the coaster building business.
Oh, I fully agree with you in that regard, I'm thankful we get a village scene, but am doubtful there will be anything really interesting from the second lift on.View attachment 34556
It literally is "off brand" and decidedly worse when it come to length and ride dynamics. That Rhine drop on BBW RIPPED.
The critique is not that BGWFans didn't pick the name. And I actually said good for them for going with Holzfäller for the codename. The critique is that said "fansite" has nothing but bad things to say about the park it seems! I've been following BGWFans a long time and all I'm saying is the complaining and criticism about every little move the park makes is getting tiresome. And BGWFans actually did come up with Darkoaster and the park went with that so take from that what you will. Also, some here have argued that Holzfäller would've been a better name than the current options (you know who you are) and I adamantly disagree since the ride is the return of THE WOLF, not some random woodsmanHolzfäller was about the story of a certain Wolf. The theming effort required to bridge the gap between "Holzfäller" and the Big Bad Wolf story is trivial. It's a direct reference to one of the biggest characters (and one of the most German characters) in the whole story. I think you're selling BGW short if you don't think they could communicate that Der Holzfäller is hunting the Big Bad Wolf. Hell, compare that to the likes of Verbolten. Verbolten is themed to a German autobahn tour company whose incestuous sibling owners have been investigating an array of mysterious happenings in the Black Forest.
Despite Verbolten's name being only tangentially related to the actual story, the lore was easily communicated by the attraction's queue when it opened. This idea that the name of a coaster has to directly include a word stating the core theme or no one will understand what is happening is preposterous.
It's also just patently absurd to critique a fansite for not magically managing to pick a name that fits BGW marketing's arbitrary requirements 9 months ahead of an announcement. Plus, if we were running a bespoke coaster naming consulting firm for BGW, trust me, we'd be cashing a paycheck.
Now that you put it that way, Pantheon reminds me of Disaster Transport, in that the respective parks min-maxed the rides opposite of what they normally focused on - raw ride experience for the former, theming for the latter, and neither being the bang for the buck.Safe to say this will be a fun addition to the park for the nostalgia alone and the theming and length of the coaster set it apart from its brethren so I think it will be a standout ride, based on Zachary's very informative reporting. Having said that, this is admittedly not the one we've been waiting for per se, so I'm just gonna take this one for what it is and look forward to the next big game-changing addition. The park demonstrated their willingness to push the envelope with Pantheon (theming considerations aside) and I don't think they quite got the bang for the buck they were hoping with that one - even though by all accounts Pantheon is a top-tier, world-class (as they like to say) experience. So I'm fully expecting the next post-Covid, post back-to-back family coaster addition to the lineup will be a banger.
Sources are telling the first track pieces are on site.
Any pictures?
Presumably the trainI'm actually going tonight, where would the best place to see the pieces be?
The proposed layout looks like the ride is anti climactic after the 2nd lift. It looks like there’s a lot more track and elements after the first lift.Oh, I fully agree with you in that regard, I'm thankful we get a village scene, but am doubtful there will be anything really interesting from the second lift on.
Edit to add: That POV render in the ad is awfully shaky for a fixed mount invert. Are they being misleading?
Also could be a good spot in the momentum of the ride to wrap up the story they are telling and setting up the final chase through the woods via the on-board audioBBW only had one drop after the second lift…
I think it is there mainly to get the coaster back over the train tracks.
