Two new track pieces today. Element 7 and 6
Impundulu would be such a sick name. Totally lines up with Jungle-X theme, teasers and coaster style. I’m hoping that will be it!
Wow, who would’ve guessed that Impundulu was Swahili for Cedar Fair’s attitude toward Volcano.
I mean it would be a cool theme but I’m sure it’ll just be a pigeon or something instead

If you’ve ever been to NYC, you know pigeons can be diabolical. Would still be a theme that strikes fear into the hearts of guests IMOI mean it would be a cool theme but I’m sure it’ll just be a pigeon or something instead

Hard to see but they are installing atleast 2 more track pieces today, with a 3rd and 4th in a staging area near by. Getting really exciting y’all!
This thing is going to be all over Jungle X by Haunt I would think. I could also see them holding off steel over pathways until daily operation is done for the season. I can't wait till next March when we all take our happy asses to KD to ride our shiny new better Thunderbird!

Lovely! That right there should be Elem #2 and #8, with #8 being the very apex of the first element. Equally interested in that other piece...

Welp, seeing that Element #2 piece in full view all but confirms that the launch track (probably) does not have a dip at the end. Somehow never noticed/didn't account for the decent elevation change from the start to end of the launch, so that alone explains the gradually increasing width in the launch supports vs. the tripod at the end of the launch.
Also looking at the #8 element & comparing it to my initial version, I don't think the apex of the element will be quite as banked as the image/videos I've made. Think more of a sideways wall-stall than a cutback.. at least that's how it appears in pieces on the ground (which is admittedly hard to analyze).
Man I need to just relax & enjoy the build

(Train will travel (red direction) across this piece of track. You can see the end of the launch track in the background where these two pieces connect, and you can see that Elem #2 starts curving upwards, right as the track passes over the tripod support)
