I would be too. I just feel a Launched ride makes the most sense hereBlasphemous, maybe, but I'd be totally happy with a great non-launched ride.

On the days it was open or the days it was closed?I’ll be happy if the new attraction increases the value of my visits to Kings Dominion to the level
volcano did or more.
Here I am subliminally lowering expectations and then you come along telling me they're still too high.On the days it was open or the days it was closed?![]()
If they could start out with a Jr. Immelmann on Hals-uber-Kopf, then I bet they'll be able to do larger inversions.Does anyone know if the new Vekoma STCs are able to do larger inversions?
Can a Vekoma STC be launched? That would be a great choice if so.
Let’s hope it would be launch so it takes volcanos record to be the only full circuit inverted launch in North America.Marketability I'm also not sure about but it could be the first Vekoma STC in the states and would give an invert back to KD.
But in this case, the wing coaster would be right across from Tumbili if that is chosen for the Volcano replacement, instead of being at the opposite end of the park.Don’t forget, several Cedar Fair parks now have a slightly larger model of another large prominent steel coaster in the park. Nobody has bat an eye.
I look forward to an inside the magic article about this now if they do build a Wing Coaster.
Sure they're both different ride experiences but I just have a bad feeling about those two being closely packed together. Both having winged seating (which again isn't as common as inverted or above track) and vest restraints. And Tumbili, while having vibes of a spinny carnival ride, is technically still a coaster. One would be a crazy, spinny, carnival-looking ride.
The other would be a big, swooping thrill coaster.

Anyways let’s get on with what I think. Personally the B&M wing theory is now stupid to me since tumbili which also technically does have wing seating is literally right across the way lol. What I think should be done is a unique launch coaster. Something that’s never and I mean NEVER been done before in the USA. A gamble? Yes. But a huge payoff? Even better. I can see a Mack Stryker coaster like voltron coaster but weaving in and out of a temple and ruins that the park would construct. It’s a pipe dream for me but I really think it could be a great fit. Even a voltron clone would be cool if they run all the trains. One issue volcano had was capacity and I think KD wants to avoid this problem again.
I think this explains a lot of things.Gerstlauers sometimes inexplicably have a rattle, regardless of how new they are. I love both Tantrum and Hangtime, the only Gersts' I've been on, but Hangtime's rear seats are shaky, and I've heard similar things about Defiance and tons of other Gerstlaurer products. I'd be intrigued to hear about a Gerstlaurer replacing Volcano, but not without reservation.
