Is the cable spool thing still on the grass?

I did not see it

Wait what exactly do you mean by “fresh working”??
Two trucks parked at the bottom of the lift an tracks that seem to indicate there have been more then that recently. Only place with an angle to see it is from Rebel Yell an I presume the drop tower so kinda hard to get a good look an say exactly what they are doing.

Well, hope that’s a good sign!

In all seriousness I wish they’d be at least a tad bit transparent, and let us see the progress. They could make a Rapterra report style thing or something like thar
EDIT: what’s with the eye rolls? Everything I say gets an eye roll. WTF is going on?

As we have highlighted in the Etiquette thread, people really are annoyed by posts that don’t contribute something of substance or meaning to the discussion. It has been fairly well established that most members here are not interested in repeated variations on comments that amount to nothing more than, “Pantherian is still closed, and I don’t like that.”

If I wasn't already politically radicalized this merger is radicalizing me. I have so many opinions on the state of the entertainment industry and art under capitalism but it'll probably get me put on whatever McCarthy-ass "Enemies of America" list they're probably concocting
Yeah me too. The merger is just making me more angry about tariffs and such. Ik this belongs in the politic thread but might as well put it here because it’s almost certainly a cause for pantherians closure.

The merger isn’t making me angry about the current admin; they do plenty on their own for that. I’m more upset with just how capitalistic so many of my entertainment options have become. It feels like there’s less and less to enjoy out there that isn’t beholden to soulless shareholder interest. I’m sure it’s always been this way and I’m just getting older and more jaded, but it’s rough at times

Question: If we take an optimistic approach and assume King’s Dominion has the part and what was reported yesterday was the beginnings of them beginning the necessary installments, is there any estimates on how long it would take this installment to be complete?

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say it'll probably take 2 ish days to install it, then one or 2 days to test it, and then they'll just have to finish the theming seen on that one poster. Credit to @MysticClay

Just looked at it, and it seems some theming work has been getting done. The statues and pavers seem unchanged but they have been getting the decals on the trains, they don’t look completely done yet but it’s something. Cable spool is still off to the side but the shed thing that was over it and is currently dismantled seems more organized so maybe a good sign maybe nothing.

I think once they get it back together it’s 500 test runs per train so it can open quickly. I mean moving pavers isn’t hard and those pre made statues seem to already have footers so they could rush it once the part is here

Hoping for at least July 🤞

Pretty sure the closer has far more to do with the unespected failure of a highly specialized part that only comes from one supplier that isn't know for keeping large amounts of backstroke on hand. Oh an the fact that the parent company has done a wonderful job of trashing the relationship between the two companies probably didn't hurt. Like Trump or hate him it doesn't really matter he and his administration have played little or no role in the closures of the ride.
