^^-- Yeah, I considered bailing, did on Bolt and vadR (1 train?). It was very nice day to be out, but didn't ride much, mainly ran to Apollo after my singular ride today.

I think they've done something new and different that doesn't rely on being intense. Does have some ejector air and yet isn't really any more intense than Verbolten and in a better way, for example. I don't think that will change much unless they want it to, considering the last launch is right in the middle of the ride, and the tophat will change the most if they speed it up. That did feel a bit like going up towards Grizzly's turnaround for a moment, in the back seats being pulled up, will it make it?

The outer bank seems more like a good floater hill with fun tilt, or maybe even a understated wall stall. Didn't notice the lack of theming after getting off the ride. Queue's almost sensory deprivation at times, but we're not even to the point in the year where the water has pollen scum all over it, much less when the park really looks good.

So I also made my way into the park today. Definitely a lot to unload, but for this thread I'll say this. After standing in line at the front of the park to get the voucher for 20 minutes and then getting to the actual line to only find out it's 2 hours long, I'm really trying to figure out how this is a "perk" special for members? I'm in PR, so I totally get the sales pitch to drive membership sales, but it was a complete joke IMO. I ended up standing in line for around 20 minutes to only move like one length in the extended queue and bailed. I've waited 2 years for this ride to open, I'll wait a little longer.
The voucher redemption wasn't an issue for me at 3 pm, but agree it was an issue at park open based on what others have stated, and which many of us anticipated. As for today, weather was the big issue, with the ride only relaibly operating from 3 pm onwards, hence the wait time. Overall, the way BGW is handling things with the new ride preview compared to BGT and SWO leaves a lot to be desired. I guess the only good thing is that come VIP weekend, you can have your (cup)cake and eat it too!

Finally got to ride today... from the time I got in line (3:12pm) till I got off (4:35pm) was about 1 hour 20 minutes. The ride was already shut down for wind when I entered the line, but they began boarding about 10 minutes after we got in line. Then the ride went down for a minor technical error for 15 minutes at 4:15pm. Judging by what I saw in the station- they just needed quick system reset because operations still cycled down after the alarm went off. Maintenance checked train 2 row 10's restraints really quick and cycled both trains empty before reopening. So excluding downtime, it was a 55 minute wait when waiting at the bottom of the hill in the first set of extended queue. I'd say the wait was worth it (excluding the drunk lady yelling behind me "oh she's running hot let us on" or yelling for the cows to come over to her constantly... moving on).

I'll leave thematic elements out because there wasn't much. I sat in row 9 left seat and the seats and train design were very comfy and open. I have not ridden Velocicoaster yet, so this was my first time in the newer Intamin trains. For the start of the ride it was a very smooth rollout and I didn't anticipate liking the s-bend approaching launch 1, but for some reason it was kind of fun despite the slow speed. I loved the hangtime that the roll provided- it moved through at the perfect speed to kind of make you laugh and the turn immediately after disorientated me a bit as to where I was at. The two outward banked bunny hops didn't provide much, but again were fun and given the speed we were going they made sense. Now, the swing launch was by far my favorite part, but, I may be in the minority here, I did not like the short bursts of acceleration. I would have loved to see a launch airtime hill similar to what Mack has done on their rides like Copperhead Strike. The acceleration just felt choppy to me. But, despite that, I do believe this and the backwards spike were my favorite elements of the ride because of quick transition of forwards or backwards and the ejector airtime. The top hat was fine, but in the back the train it just crawls over the top. Luckily the view is great. The drop into the quick turn into the outerbank turn provided some nice quick force. I may be comparing the outerbank turn to Steel Vengeance, but I just wish there was a TAD more airtime in this element. Maybe not ejector, but just a bit more intense floater? Maybe? At the bottom of the turn I got a nice pop of ejector at the mini hill at the bottom of the outerbank turn. Then, I would say the stall was my second favorite element. It transitioned nicely and felt pretty lengthy and had some nice hangtime to it. I'm not sure how I feel about quick zig zag turn section because it was extremely quick and snappy, but not too much to it at the same time. The sideways hill at the end was a nice fun way to end the ride. To me there wasn't too much to note with this element, but it did have a bit of good airtime, but I think I was still amazed at the stall right before it.

Overall, very excellent ride and my only gripe (from a pure ride standpoint) is about the two mini launches in the swing launch. Again, I just wished the LSM's were along the entire bunny hill and not just in the valleys. But Pantheon was very smooth, fast where it needs to be, and graceful in other areas. Even though it was only two inversions, they were very nicely placed in the layout and also they were both unique. There is a nice mixture of positive forces, floater, and also ejector airtime. I go back and forth on the ride time, but I think I do enjoy the length of the ride which is something I was questionable this entire time. Pantheon is a solid addition to the park and I am certainly glad it is at my second home park. Now to just get some more rides and try some other seats out!

Some more shots taken today. The ride's incredibly ugly plaza area really isn't helped by the lack of good viewing angles elsewhere....I suppose one day I'll stop being lazy and get some more interesting photos of it.

Also, huge shoutout to the park/ride team for letting everyone who wanted to wait for the front row after closing do so, and for letting others (read: me) get multiple rides in the back while they were clearing out that line. Really fantastic and unexpected way to end the day.

So work today is super lame......no backwards launching airtime in my cubicle at all. NONE.

Try this:

I’m not a contacts person, so I always just take my glasses off. The benefits of a out of focus ride are wayyyyyyy higher than literally not being able to function if I manage to lose my glasses.
With a good eyeglass strap it's no issue at all and I really don't like riding without glasses. I can't see anything. If your prescription isn't so bad it wouldn't be as much of an issue, though.

They weren’t ever going to run it at that one speed it was testing at because it would have been borderline unsafe. It’s still running slower than it did in other tests bc of weather.
Can’t run 100% duty cycle at higher power…..even though it’s glycol cooled it will overheat and cause ride to go down.

It's Tuesday, and with Friday - Sunday ops at the park, it's time to start looking ahead to the upcoming weekend.

What is everyone's thought on this upcoming weekend? I am thinking a lot of folks came last weekend with the nicer weather and used their vouchers, so perhaps an even greater likelihood of rerides this weekend, along with rerides potentially starting earlier?

That said, it is looking like Friday might be the best of the three days to head over to the park. Saturday looks windy, wet and cool, and Sunday looks downright chilly.

I still haven’t gotten my passport to thrills vip invite email, how does that work or has anyone up here gotten there’s yet. I met the criteria and signed up for email a long time ago

I'm leaving work early and heading out there Friday. Hoping the risk of rain keeps large crowds away.

You can tell by this that the ride def sped up as the weekend went along
those were both filmed sunday lol, i filmed the forward front row pov. the ride sped up considerably from that morning to when angelo filmed his reaction due to my ride having SEVERE wind gusts during it.

I'm just glad they're officially saying something instead of "eyeballin it."
