Just got the below update (note the change in RED) on next weekend's VIP event, which I already RSVP'd for...

Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA
HURRY—RSVP TODAY TO ENJOY UNLIMITED PANTHEON RIDES!
Don’t miss your chance to conquer Pantheon early! An RSVP is required to attend the party. If you already provided your RSVP, you don’t need to respond again. If not, you still have until 11:59 p.m. tonight. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Party Bonus: RSVP to one day and get access to all three party dates (March 18, 19, or 20). Plus, you’ll get UNLIMITED RIDES on Pantheon! (You just need to hold onto your wristband.)

The Pantheon Passport to Thrills celebration includes:
  • Entry for all three party dates
  • Unlimited rides on Pantheon
  • One complimentary cupcake
  • One commemorative Pantheon pin
  • First opportunity to purchase exclusive Pantheon merchandise
  • Live entertainment and much more!

RSVP is required no later than March 11 to be a part of the excitement!

Perhaps a change made possible by a lack of RSVPs, but probably also an acknowledgment that weather has complicated the two preview weekends (they seemed to get through the wind “okay” all told) and they need to give some flexibility.

I was planning on skipping this, but I might make a trip up now.

Still only one cupcake, though? Rude.

I am thinking the exact opposite. Before it seemed somewhat more controlled with one ride per person, but my hunch is that it makes for a more chaotic experience.

That said, if this announcement results in fewer people heading to the park this afternoon, then I am all for it, as it will allow me to get that many more rides in on Pantheon later today. :)

There might be some chaos, but it’s probably the smallest pool of people for rides - had to visit multiple times, had to RSVP, etc.

So tomorrow looks no bueno for riding Pantheon. What conditions do they close the coaster? Sunday still will be gusty too.

Friday looks to be a sunny and warmer day with highs in the mid 50s. Then Friday night, rain will move in from the south. That will continue into the day Saturday. We might even see thunderstorms Saturday morning as our temperatures climb into the 60s. A few stronger storms are also possible, with gusty winds. Make sure you have a way to get weather alerts. Colder air will rush in Saturday afternoon bringing us a chance for some snow. Accumulations are not expected. It will also be windy on Saturday. Sunday will be calmer and chilly with highs in the 40s. Next week looks calm with sunny skies.

Fair point on jumping through hoops, but keep in mind that Fun Card holders who met the criteria are also able to attend next weekend. Not sure what that does to the size of the pool of riders next weekend versus this weekend.

Fun card holders were able to qualify? I thought the range the visits had to be in were after the fun cards expired.

There is no way Pantheon is running tomorrow with wind gusts of 40mph and temperatures below 40, is there?
😢😭

I misspoke on Fun Cards. Here is who qualified...
