The ride was pretty fun, one of my favorites now in the park. I didn’t get the intensity or in your gut feeling but definitely had a blast riding it. It also looks a tad slower than how it was moving during testing and creeps over the top hat. Overall loved the ride and it’s definitely a great addition to the park and sure as the ride opens up more, it’ll hit those faster speeds.

Saw this on Twitter and realized that there should be no wait time during Howl-O-Scream with these restrictions.

It would seem there is a significant discrepancy in the way that BGW is recording wind speeds and the specification from the manufacturer. The one issue could be that they are using sustained wind specs on gusts of wind, but I'm not certain this is the case. I do know that if they were reading The wind speeds they way they are specified by intamin, it is very unlikely the close the ride outside a proper storm.

How fast was it running over the top hat today? It was definitely faster in the warmer weather yesterday, but if it was windy I could totally see it rolling back because it was still pretty slow.

Also as an aside, it was good meeting/talking with some of you yesterday!

Slow over the top hat, very slow today

There were some of us watching it test last weekend that were raising concerns about a stall out and valley if there was a significant wind gust as it went up the top hat perhaps that isn't a unrealistic concern.

Rode it for the first time today, had to wait nearly two and a half hours because of the wind shutdowns. Ride was well worth the wait! Great ride that is extremely well rounded and paced, there isn't a dull moment. Easily the best at BGW, it has a mix of everything. Think my favorite part was either the outward bank or the airtime hill launch. One ride was front right row, definitely seems like a backrow ride

My member preview observation:

Given that Pantheon is only previewing over two weekends (weekend #3 is the VIP event), I understand why they went the voucher route and didn't split out days for different tiers like we saw with Ice Breaker and Iron Gwazi. But perhaps they could have had this weekend as Platinum and Premier, and next weekend as everyone else? That would have alleviated some of the issues we saw today with the weather impacts.

Also on an operational front, it would have been nice to have an employee at the top of the steps directing riders to rows like we saw with both Ice Breaker and Iron Gwazi. I see this as a miss on BGW's part, as there were multiple trains dispatched today with at least 3-4 empty seats with a queue that extended 60+ minutes.

While I know they are giving away pins on VIP weekend, it would have been nice to have gotten those this weekend instead.

On the VIP weekend front, I am actually curious to see how it goes, and if they need to open up for rerides that entire weekend, given that they also have the one ride per person thing spelled out in the invite.

Wow, I got in line around 3:15 and rode at 4:45, so glad I didn't have to deal with the wait you endured!

Does anyone actually get Premier? Guessing that would have left over 90% of members to next weekend. What would have been logical would have been to make Saturday the Platinum day, since Fridays are usually slack.

I actually had that thought today that from a logistic stand point a Saturday would have made more sense for a Platinum day then Friday the only issue with that is it would require either shorting the already short preview time or allowing lower tier members to ride before the top tier which would be REALLY bad optics for the park.

So I also made my way into the park today. Definitely a lot to unload, but for this thread I'll say this. After standing in line at the front of the park to get the voucher for 20 minutes and then getting to the actual line to only find out it's 2 hours long, I'm really trying to figure out how this is a "perk" special for members? I'm in PR, so I totally get the sales pitch to drive membership sales, but it was a complete joke IMO. I ended up standing in line for around 20 minutes to only move like one length in the extended queue and bailed. I've waited 2 years for this ride to open, I'll wait a little longer.
