Just a anecdotal note- when I was at Islands of Adventure a couple weeks ago, then temps were in the 30’s. Hagrid’s was down about 2/12-3 hrs at the start of the day. The employee at the ride entrance with whom I ended up have a very long conversation with said that it’s a temperamental ride, doesn’t like the cold, and the day prior it finally opened up at 1:00pm from an 8am park opening. He mentioned that the park basically got Velocicoaster as reparations from Hagrid’s unreliability. (Paraphrasing what he said)
I hope Intamin fixed those temperamental bugs with Pantheon.
No way this is true. The park started work on Velocicoaster before Hagrids opened to the public.

Also, before we freak out about the cold. Let's remember that this coaster is in Florida. It's rarely below 60° during the day. So there's a definitive difference between a ride that runs in the low temps almost never to one that will likely run in temps lower than that regularly. Especially if it's consistently low like it can be during CT/HOS.

Could be, but a bad sensor is usually a relatively quick fix (less than an hour if they have spares in stock, which they should have). Could be mechanically related to not being in the right spot, but again, that's something that should only take a few hours to fix, unless there are larger engineering problems.
From what I understand is that because it was employee testing they decided it wasn't worth having employees just sitting around for it to be fixed and they just cancelled the day. There's no indication that it would have been a long shutdown, just that it was decided that given the problem it wasn't worth paying employees to sit around while they waited for it to go back up. It would have been a different situation if it was during the member previews, it would not expect that it would have been down for the entire day.

I have only heard them missing one 2 hour ride session so that doesn't sound like it's out of the realm of possibility
Some other people made it sound like they cancelled that day and possibly others due to it. I understand canceling one session over something that takes longer than 15 min.

Are the little tan "things"(for lack of better word) in the queue facts about the Roman gods? It seems like a possibility since Iron Gwazi has facts about alligators/crocodiles in its queue. Not that I think they are, just because I have lost all hope at this point.

This post might go SLIGHTLY off-topic, but that's not my intention, I'll start by saying I'm very excited for Pantheon to open soon, after following (and sending to Zachary first pictures of both major height tests 😉) this project for a while.

I spent the whole day at universal today (first time). It was quite chilly, but I got to ride everything I wanted to. Velocicoaster (which I keep calling "Jurrasicoaster") was phenomenal. I'm expecting Pantheon to just be a shorter version of that. Thats my expectation.

Not to go off topic, but Hagrids was also very great. I might actually like that more. It's Verbolten but on steroids and outdoors.

Pantheon should be a great ride. Combining intamin fast track switch technology with new generation design philosophy... I don't think we'll be disappointed. Except for the surrounding environment....

After seeing the crowds in Orlando and Tampa for the passholder previews, does anyone think BGW will stick to its plan of having everyone visit a kiosk to print a voucher? Do they even have enough kiosks to handle the masses of people showing up March 5th, when the preview opens to all members? Seems like a catastrophe in the making...

That’s what they appear to be- based off of what I’ve heard. They don’t seem to be complete yet though.

The answer ti the first one if likely yes but without actual consistency or enforcement.

The second one no.

Is it a catastrophe in the making very likely but do they care? Probably not.

What's pretty crazy to me is how this ride was finished for many many months, and yet they are saving this final testing for a month before they officially open it. It is very rare for a theme park to have a ride finished over a year before they are actually going to open it, so you'd think they would take advantage of the time they gave themselves to try to mitigate some of the initial unreliability that comes with an Intamin.

Who am I kidding, we are talking about SEAS here.

To be fair, Pantheon has been testing for quite some time now- already much longer than they normally would have. Rides generally test for about 1-2 months prior to opening day. Even if they tested Pantheon for 6 months straight, the ride is still going to go down inevitably from standard wear and tear during the day. But by comparison, having employees riding a month plus out and many other runs in the months prior- I'd say the park is already mitigating a lot of the downtime that we would have seen if it did open in 2020. But I wouldn't expect any more testing when right now they are still not able to see any kind of return on investment.

This isn’t final testing. This is training teammembers all procedures. Would you prefer an unorganized cluster fuck of dispatching instead?

I’m sorry to go on a rant here: But this is sometime why this community (not ParkFans.net specifically, more the general park community) just outright sucks. Nothing is good enough sometimes. Does it suck that Pantheon got delayed? Absolutely. Does it suck SEAS hid behind excuses for all their major rides in 2021? Absolutely. Does that give you the right to bitch that the ONLY year round park in the Northeast is in operational testing in *checks calander* mid-February? Absolutely NOT. In any typical year it would still be testing by the manufacturer and not the park.

I’m fine with them doing this now. It’s a highly anticipated opening. And I know most here are enjoying shitting on SEAS/BGW and are unwilling to see the whole picture. But they need to get these TMs trained on how to load, unload, dispatch, handle emergency situations. Other crews need to practice e-stops, launch some unloads, medical emergency issues. Last BGW/SEAS likely trained anyone in ride ops on Panthy is likely last year. /r

They legally couldn't do any operations eith people on it till they received their amusement ride inspection and permitbwhich they only recently applied for and received. There likely are two reasons for the delay in applying. One why pay the fee for a 1 year permit on a ride you have decided not to open. 2 those permits are public records and available to anyone by not applying they could maintain the perceptions that the pandemic had delayed the ride and it wasn't ready to run. Had they applying someone like say Zachary would find the permit and publish it destroying that excuse. It's a strange situation but we luve in interesting times.

i wonder if bgw is going to be strict about letting only platinum passholders on the ride for march 4th. I know they arent actually checking passes at the ride, only the vouchers that people redeem on the way into the park. i feel like alot of people are just going to use other peoples plat passes, maybe a friend or family members to get a voucher.

Does anyone else get mad that people freak out over the fact that Pantheon has no theming but don't care that no other SEAS roller coasters coming in 2022 have any theming? People say that BGW is "known for theming their coasters" when only Verbolten has on-ride theming, and only Verbolten, Alpengeist, Invadr, and Loch Ness have at least a little theming I their queue. Also why is Pantheon suddenly so short when IG has a 48 second ride time and it has a 1:10 second ride time? Smh
