Well then it sounds like Pantheon's bridge/plaza area will be just as substantial as Griffon's, give or take. And hopefully the landscaping will follow suit as well. Minus the Say ah!, Griffon's bridge is one of the most photogenic spots in the park. I'd take flower beds, shrubbery, and rock work over ill-conceived snack stands. Pretzels and churros just don't suggest the same kind of permanence than a really sturdy rock or well planted bush.
That burger looks decent. Hopefully Culinary and the Marketing photographer are working closely together to bring it to life just like that, but inside my mouth.

At least some of the pictures are stock pictures they got off the interweb. I would not assume that this picture has anything to do with the actual burger the park will sell.
In other news, if we get a shutdown due to corona, Pantheon might open with the park.
If the virus forces an extended shutdown, expect worker furloughs which could push back the testing and completion schedule.

Exactly this. Plus, remember that the Colonial Pipeline easement runs right through the plaza, hence why they aren't building any permanent structures in that area. The red lines are roughly where the easement runs. They could, in theory, build something in the future off to the right in the image, but that would affect the service road that runs through to Roman Rapids.
Eventually I’d like to see the Pantheon area connect to San Marco (like a loop), meaning your can walk by the pre-launch.
Would have to do it without cutting off access to Marco Polo's. Problem with just adding another pedestrian bridge over the access way, is that it would occupy/block the only access road to San Marco without driving over the Festa bridge (one of the few bridges (if only bridge, I can't remember) that full size vehicles can drive over). Carts and other vehicles are not allowed on the Pompeii bridge.
The park can build on top of the pipeline area it would just require additional permitting and involve other approvals.
From my understanding of this particular easement, that is not exactly true. If it were any other easement (drainage, public utities, etc.) then yes, I believe that would be the case. But there are specific regulations in place for the Colonial Pipeline. For instance, they do aerial survey to ensure there are no leaks, which requires a clear view of the easement. Hence why there is a pretty clear line where the easement is within the park and surrounding areas. I remember several years back they did a ton of clearing on Route 199 exactly for that purpose. Even BGW had to clear their portion of the easement, minus the part of LNM that spans the easement.
My understanding is the park could build on it but there are several additional steps because of the pipeline. Which to me would make it very unlikely they will ever try.
I could be wrong but that is my understanding of the pipeline easement.
