Some people's questions....... First question, what is the top speed, after it was just explained. Later question on how long to reach top speed after first launch. It was already explained that top speed isn't directly from a launch...
Finally confirmed, a hop-into-turn element, as seen in the asterix launcher video.
Is is possible that Hagrid's is a different design from Pantheon? Also, isn't there a brake run directly before the switch, whereas there is none on pantheon.
Yeah, that switch track statement is really misleading. Switch tracks of the common variety are used on-ride all over the place. Expedition Everest, is a good example of that. If, though, BGW was referring specifically to Intamin’s new fast track switch system, there is only one other of those and it’s on Hagrid.
It's amazing how much this ride does for 3,300 ft of track. They fit in a lot of wackiness.

Glad someone asked about theming...also like that we will get to see some of the animals while we are in line. I wish someone had been brave enough to ask if this was part of a continuing partnership with Intamin *wink wink* for future attractions. Second question would have been “why did you not invite BGWFans...y’all are haters lol
Anyone else get really annoyed during these construction tours when there's that obnoxious beeping in the background?
Here's an aerial of Pantheon switch (ACE video from Dec.) and Hagrid's.
My guess @ControlsEE that Pantheon probably has two "checks" for the switch track. I would guess it won't Dispatch until the switch is in the correct position. The second check (albeit redundant) would be the first launch not happening if the switch failed.
For Hagrid, the switch track is pretty far into the circuit. So the brakes just before the switch may be the safety valve. Or, the train speed is adjusted (up or down) to take the spike at the correct speed. Just guesses.
