Honestly Twisted Timbers isn't that bad usually. If it's a crowded day it'll be a long wait, but even during the summer the longest I waited was 30 min.

The plans essentially confirm two trains.

Also, just because a section can be used as a block doesn't mean Intamin wants it to act as one.

If my experience at Cedar Fair has been any indication that's more of a park's call than the manufacturer. Cedar Fair's corporate definitions of a block and a control point are hella wack anyways.

That
Especially if this ride doesn't have seatbelts, these Intamin trains should load way faster than Timbers' trains.
That’s true but still the ride cycle is 1:20-1:25 still, so you could really make wait times less with 3 trains. The simple restraint system would help with avoiding stacking.

As we all discussed before regarding rollbacks - You're about past halfway (50 or so seconds) before you crest the top hat. So, I'd think for safety's (i.e. lawyers) sake, they won't dispatch a second train until the crest. From crest to final brake is only 30 seconds or so. With the new type restraints and station design, they'll do ok with 2 trains.

What’s different about the station vs others?

For standard of ops most parks wouldn't let the next train dispatch until the previous one hits the brakes. It has a minimal effect on throughput regardless.

I have yet to see anything telling me that this coaster has a theoretical capacity under 800 riders per hour, which is better than Twisted Timbers

Which was something I elaborated in this thread earlier but people said "that's too much effort in programming just use more power."
