There's no publicly available proof of it being Intamin, but I do believe the layout is pretty convincing. Add that to RCDB reporting it's Intamin, and I'm damn near 99% sure.
I'd agree. The only aspect of this whole journey I don't get is why Intamin went though all the theatrics of "world's first this and that" for Parc Asterix knowing full well the crux of their design was coming up BGW first. Granted, SEAS obviously wasn't ready to go public but I have to assume they weren't too happy. There's no publicly available proof of it being Intamin, but I do believe the layout is pretty convincing. The only mention of "some RMC" on the layout was from your projection pic. I find it amusing that any unique, unusual or new coaster effect is automatically attributed to RMC. Take a look at the PA presentation again (and again). If they even do 90% I doubt people are going to complain there wasn't "some RMC" offered.I’d say there’s some RMC to the layout tbh

Certainly, this style coaster isn't a "one size fits all design" like a Sky Rocket II but if BGW offers "less" than what was presented for PA, enthusiasts will howl...which will eventually ripple down to the GP.

Enthusiasts howl all the time. It changes little in the great majority of cases.
I'd say the most substantial influence the enthusiast community has ever had upon the public at large is the basic notion that classic rides are worth preserving. Parks heard that and embraced it in many cases, and it has become a thing. ...As one would hope, since it has been a constant refrain for 40 years now.
But a specific new ride being "less than" a very similar peer ride that is 4,000 miles away... no.
I would like to know what kind of aircraft you have access to. At 2,000 mph... take me with you, master.some random ride in France vs 2 hours away in Williamsburg
It probably came down to SEAS not being willing to show off future projects while Parc Asterix was...
Drachen Fire, is that you?Kind of a pessimist here: not sure about the station, but I think the ride's overarching visual theme will be "big blue coaster in a rather plain mowed field with some trees."
It's probably a spacious Slipstream 3000 Airsled. Heck, on one of those you could do a 2 week European vacation in mere minutes!I would like to know what kind of aircraft you have access to. At 2,000 mph... take me with you, master.
