Which brings us back to the collar... Theater may change one's perception of risk, but doesn't really change the risk. So either the policy writer doesn't know the difference and the park can gain a financial benefit, or it really is for "comfort," which doesn't change the risk, but "maybe" the public's perception of it, and they're more likely to accept it.

Not to belabor, but legit question: if there was more room in the train on Tempesto, that you could move the tiniest of bits while boarding/exiting the train, would the comfort collars not suck nearly as much? My biggest issue with them is contorting to get in/out quickly and without smacking my neighbor (wife) with the buckle. I feel I could tolerate these collars if I had another four inches in the row. Also, FWIW, my shoulders rest pretty strongly on those straps in the roll, with my thighs against the bar. That’s where the short train works, not allowing me to move enough to become unrestrained. I get it.
 
"Loss of feeling in legs" - that's kinda par for the course with an inverted coaster, hardly unique to Alpie.

And Verbolten dishing out the neck injuries - why am I not surprised?

That's certainly an aspect of my dislike of the comfort collars, but for me at least, I actually find them really uncomfortable on-ride too. I find that they hit my neck in a similar way to Intamin's hard OSTRs (Cheetah Hunt).
 
I am slightly worried about thighcrush on this ride. It could have some very sharp and fast hills and Intamin bars come down hard apparently over the course.
 
The thighcrush issues have gotten a lot better on the newer Intamins vs Skyrush from what I've read. Have there been any complaints about pain on rides like Taron or are people just bummed that their airtime is nullified since the restraints seem to actively get tighter?

Just an aside on Skyrush: the reason that it had so many issues with restraints was due to the winged seats it had to have OTSR system but stay wide. Intamin hasn't gone with that style of restraint since.

They hurt my neck during the ride.

I understand dealing with a certain level of discomfort for the sake of safety; but I take serious issue with being asked to endure pain to prevent a nonexistent threat.

Griffon and Alpengeist's comfort collars are so reasonable, they actually hold you in and aren't super uncomfortable. I guess B&M perfected it. ;)

A lot of people read these forums. Some users have tried to make it very clear Comfort Collars are not Safety Restraints. Despite the parks signage, and anything users post here; people still believe Comfort Collars are for safety and thus people will inevitably make the conclusion that Comfort Collars are a variation of actual OTSRs. The less the confusion, the better.

Alright I've apologised and it's over let's move on now, I'd like some new discussion on Festa.

Do we actually have anything concrete that points directly to Intamin, (like the words Intamin) or are we just assuming it to be, because the layout is pretty darn convincing?
I know I've gotten lost in that end after pages upon pages of people just accepting what the ride is gonna be.
