Intamin is pretty amazing at fitting a lot of track into a small area. Flying Aces covers a not-that-large plot yet has just under 5000 feet of track. I think they can build an oversized version of that here. The bigger question is how will they fit the lift. We could see the angle of ascent be something like 50 degrees.

Something inside my brain tells me Busch wants to be a bit different. Intamin is great and all, however I can't shake the idea that someone has spoken to RMC regarding a large-scale T-Rex. They have got time to refine the product, seeing the successes the other installations have had (albeit smaller) and it looks like they have until late 2019 to make it "right" for the scale Madrid appears to be.

High hopes, but man that track design would be stunning. Also, is any other park looking to install a larger version of the T-Rex anytime soon?

A giga T-rex would possibly be better than Steel Vengeance lol. I doubt they get that though. Seeing how Flying Aces fits in that exact shape but smaller, I am really on the Intamin train.

I have this strange feeling that Mack is going to be the manufacturer for this.

Looking at the rest of BGW's lineup, Madrid would greatly benefit from being an I305/Skyrush/Maverick level of intensity. As it is, only Alpengeist would be considered anywhere close to that.

I'd be okay with lower intensity only if they make it feel as larger-than-life as Millennium Force.

If I'm BGW I'm going with someone with a track record of building successful giga's. Going with someone who hasn't built one, and only recently cracked the 200' barrier, it's a risky proposition to do so. I also think after DF they would be very hesitant to ask one manufacturer to emulate another with their style.

Mach Tower and Verbolten would say otherwise.
I have a feeling avoiding Intamin took precedence over avoiding another Drachen Fire.

Mach Tower is easily a Drachen Fire in terms of failing to measure up to the leading manufacturer.

However, as blah as Verbolten ultimately is, Zierer did a good job imitating the Intamin Blitz. Obviously I don't think they'll be brought in to imitate the Intamin Giga as they haven't even done a hyper.

Mack is a very trustworthy brand though. They have done rides with giga layouts before (DC Rivals, Flash, etc). Vekoma has a plan ready to build Hyperion before Energylandia ultimately went with Intamin.

Mack is similar to B&M in that they are trustworthy because they stay in their comfort zone, relatively. They have only been making "riskier" moves to try to catch up, since B&M and Intamin have made all the ground breaking moves years ago.

If Mack accepts a contract, it is guaranteed they are able to make it. They wouldn't push themselves like Arrow did with DF. Arrow was in desperate times when they took on DF.

Mack doesn’t push themselves? What? Do Time Traveler and DC Rivals not exist?

Like I said, they make "risker" moves to catch up per say. They don't push past their limits. They knew they could make those. Arrow did not know if they could do Drachen Fire, they took on something they were not capable of making.

How does that make them bad? Lol. I’m sure a Mack giga would be a world class ride regardless of how innovative it is.

What if this project is gonna be both an I305-style giga and a new hamlet themed after Spain? I personally think that this would be neat.
