It's SUPER rough, but I threw the blueprints onto NoLimits 2 and created a very loose interpretation of an Intamin Giga. It's still a work in progress, and honestly it's a little too close to i305 for me, but maybe I'll adjust it as more info comes in.

One thing I LOVE is that this doesn’t have the shit trims like i305.

Crazy idea here: Track above the treeline can be a light blue or even white. Track below the tree-line can be some crazy, bold, vibrant color. A bit of a gradient bleeding one color into the other (Falcon's Fury style) would be the dream, but honestly, even just a hard transition would look great from a distance.

I know it will never happen, but honestly, it's not a bad idea in my honest opinion. One thing roller coasters often struggle with is becoming visually iconic. A bold paint scheme like this would definitely make a theoretical giga at BGW standout in the crowd.

mirror or chrome colored track. Reflects the natural surroundings and sky.
You’re on to something. That sounds badass. Or go the other way and make it like Carnivale of Venice (which would fit the Italian theme). so it can be all kinds of dramatic colors and keep above the skyline in compliance.

Gotta love the big wealthy NIMBY neighborhood next door.
Again people keep blaming Kingsmill it's not them on this. The biggest proponent of the height restrictions is CW. When they had the height waver heading last year the representative from Kingsmill said that they have more complaints about sound then the skyline and basically said another coaster made no difference that said having spent time in snd around the neighboring areas of KD and seen how bad Intimidator and other tall rides stick out I can see why people in the area might be concerned.

Another thing I wonder if they will do is run 3 trains. On gigas without a mid-course brake run you would need 3 blocks before the station. Fury and Leviathan do this by having extra long initial breaks and MF has a separate unloading and loading station. I kind of like the latter as it also speeds up operations.

This coaster isn't being announced until a year from now. Worrying about the capacity of the ride in August 2018 that isn't opening until at least April 2020 is kind of a waste of time at this point. They'll tell us what the capacity is next year.
Not trying to start an argument, but isn't one of the purposes of this site to discuss possibilities, regardless of the timeline? As someone who doesn't know much about the engineering of roller coasters, I'm interested in learning more about why a giga would likely have 1 train. Is this for safety purposes, or are they built to only accommodate one train (like Tempesto)?

I can't believe you think it's silly to talk about a chrome paint job on a ride that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Yes. Yes it is.

A giga would almost certainly not only have one train. In fact, it's fairly unheard of for any major, anchor roller coaster to only have a single train. Fury 325 and Leviathan (the two B&M gigas) both run three trains. Millennium Force runs three trains as well. Intimidator 305 runs two.

The length of the attraction's ride cycle plays a big part in how many trains a coaster runs. Because of i305's incredibly fast lift and brief ride time, more than one train can't be loaded and dispatched in in the time it takes for the first train to hit the final brake run.

Given the attendance that BGW gets, I'd imagine that if it's a long ride it would have three trains.

Depends on the manufacturer and the layout of the ride as Zachary said. Also it should be noted that Millennium Force only runs 3 trains because it has a separate unloading and loading station configuration. That gives it enough leeway to be able to run those 3 trains.

You can build a coaster that relies on two train ops and make it have just as good throughput as a ride with the same number of seats running 3 trains. The Batmen clones are capable of over 1,400 riders per hour, while 3 train Dominator can only get about 200 riders per hour more with a 3rd train.
