What if this project is gonna be both an I305-style giga and a new hamlet themed after Spain? I personally think that this would be neat.
The latest permit filings appear to show that it is very likely confined to the field side of the Rhine that means that there is a limited area to work with and it would be tight to wedge both a coaster and a hamlet into that area give the pipeline restrictions. If I had to make guess right this is a coaster alone.

On another note what is the likelihood of the relocation of Leandro Da vinci's Cradle to make room for an access path for Prodject Madrid it seems like a possible route without having to cross the tracks.

I wanna know where the Cradle would be relocated to.

That does make sense of being a coaster only addition. Perhaps, while it's "Project Madrid" the coaster takes on Italian theming. Italian mythical names such as "Thyrus", "one of the most famous dragons of Italian folklore, a river's dragon that besieged Terni in the Middle Ages."

Perhaps someone starts monitoring SeaWorld's copyright applications..that might provide additional clues.

I'm not sure about the Cradle idea only because they need that access road to service Monte Carlo, etc. as well as emergency vehicles. There's dumpsters, etc. also tucked back behind the retaining wall. Perhaps more pedestrian bridges? Or, a wild idea, you create another pathway to go behind the San Marco from the Rhine River bridge.

So would it be some kinda Skyrush/I305 hybrid? That'd make the most sense for a giga themed to a mythical dragon.

There were soil testings done in Festhaus Park several months ago, similar to the ones done on Verbolten. BGW gets creative with space and I think they’ll pull something off.

Well, looks like Da Cradle (as I like to call it) might be getting relocated to Oktoberfest. Srsly? That hamlet's honestly got enough flat rides as it is. They should probs put it in somewhere like either the Germany or Scotland hamlet, as they've basically got no flat rides at all (as far as I know of).

Wait seriously? Source?

I think if they ever came to the point where relocation of the cradle was considered they would just axe the thing. It goes down frequently as it is. I think they just keep it there because they have no better reason to remove it.

Well this took a left turn....

Ya'll are massively underestimating how much space is in that area. Big time. Let's just rehash that the area effected right now is just the resparian buffer, and it's fiesta field. That's it. We don't know the true extent for the project. We don't know if this is going to be a ride, or a full hamlet. We don't know where the entrance is going to be, if it means attaching to current paths or if they need to build out further into the field. Assuming a ride would need to be relocated without knowing any of that is jumping the gun so to speak.

Ok, War's official "why did they drill over there" odds list. Disclaimer: I have 0 insider knowledge, I worked for 5 years as a township planner so I understand why these things are done.

~There's less taxing going on to the power grid by pulling electrical from the old DF station. Pulling from that side of the park helps, since VBolt and Festhaus might be the two major power pulls as opposed to Apollo, Tempesto, EfP. They were looking at the vitality of burying the cables. Chance of this 45%

~They are planning on a more permanent structure for HH, SN, fireworks. So they didn't want to have to call the soil testers out there again. Might as well have them pre-test over there as to not pay a second time. Chance of this 15%

~The "might as well, they are here". Chance of this 9.99%

~A comprehensive look at the surrounding area, so they can see the impact on other areas when they remove some of the buffer. You want to make sure that the soil on the other side is able to deal with the increased water levels that might happen because of this change. Chance of this 30%

~This actually crosses the river and the park pulled the wool over our eyes. Chance of this 0.01%
