Honestly from what I've seen I can see this ride going the way of Drachen Fire. Just without the nostalgia and the fanfare.

I don't see how that makes sense - DF was more or less ok for reliability, but just poorly designed and known for roughness; seems like the reverse is true for Pantheon but even then it is the first operating season so give it another couple of seasons before really judging it's reliability...

Kevin mentioned that Intamin had been helping them with some growing pains on Pantheon recently while at tge Park for "other work" it will be interesting to see if it improves in the near future. According to him this mornings issues involved a bad wheel that had to be replaced.

So... They need to increase their maintenance team size and quality since that sort of thing could be spotted and sorted out long before the event kicked off (if I remember correctly, there used to be an overnight rides maintenance team that would do all of the train maintenance work and whatever else).

Would it be correct to assume the 'other work' is the new DK coaster? Wouldn't think Intamin would be on site until the structure is built and it's time for programming/testing. And I'd also guess the folks they may have sent for RR wouldn't be a team that also works on coasters, though then again they might...?

I would think it could possibly be either No way of knowing since he won't even verify anything beyond a Howl-O-Scream maze is going on at DK. He also didn't give details on the wheel issue beyond them having to replace it. It's possible something abnormal occurred as it tested and then stopped testing for an issue before resuming and then opening.

Yeah, that was sort of why I asked - he mentioned growing pains, but I wanted a sense of whether they felt like they were actually getting better at addressing recurring problems or whether it was just new problems cropping up all the time.

The sensors are certainly still a concern when the tide IS operating, based on what we saw during the one-train ops during ERT.

Fir what little it may be worth I rode 3 times 2 during the ERT and one this afternoon and have had the least amount of restraint issues that I have ever had.

One of the trains row 9 on the load side the sensor is brutal. I almost got walked from the ride after the same ride op checked me for the front row and back row right before that. They wanted to move me up to row 4, my buddy and I just switched seats and it was solid green.

A bad wheel shouldn't shut the ride down, right...? It should just take one train out of commission. Sounds like a pretty sus claim to me, not gonna lie.
That was how they got it open after a wait. The second train then returned latter that day. They were also visible POUNDING hard on one of the wheels on the one in the maintenance bay when they let us in so definitely not a made up story if there likely is more to it.
