Related: the Pantheon post was started by Shane who hasnt posted in a very long time now; though I have heard he lurks from time to time.
They did remove a lot of the trees for the pipeline but I was there this past weekend and the area behind behind the fence seems more open (particularly around the employee service fence). I think they did remove a tree line but in all fairness those trees didn't provide much shade but they definitely added to the ambience of the garden. Anyway, my post was more of a rant about the removal of trees but on the plus side our guest who was visiting for the first time commented on how much she liked the trees and greenery compared to other parks. The trees around Da Vinci's Garden of Invention were cut by the Colonial Pipeline Company, not for Pantheon.
