Personally I hope the park does some type of event at the park to unveil the ride. A member event would be great but something like KD did for Winterfest and Twisted Timbers would be neat to.

lots of landscape work going on. It also looks like they are prepping the piledriver so we might be close to seeing footers going in soon.

There are already 5 or so piles driven across the site. It's been in a different spot each time I've been here.

The whole reason Disney made a movie out of Hercules (and 90% of their other movies) is because NOBODY has an IP on it and it’s public domain.

I guess I stand corrected to the Hercules IP situation - figured when they made the movie they would have filed a bunch of legal stuff indicating that it's off limits for any purpose but theirs.

But even if it was open, would that make MMXX Hercules and the supposedly larger 2021 Zeus?

It doesn't actually work like that Disney owns the rights to anything in the Hercules movie that was unique to that movie but not to anything that had existed in the legend before the movie. Busch could make a ride called Hercules couldn't craft the ride to resembling animated images from the movie just as an example.

There's a law that covers that type of stuff. Like there's no one that can own the rights to all of that, but you can own the rights to a story that features them as long as it isn't a direct retelling. It's what allows any studio to make a show/movie/whatever about the revolutionary war, but there's some families that have sold their relatives story to a studio.

So again - if Hercules was allowed would that make 2021 Zeus? I feel like both would be better as codenames and not actual ride names.

I still kind of like Barbarian - fits in with the whole Roman thing but still sounds epic.

My name prediction?

“Invictus.”

Do some research, I think it works within the Roman mantra, and everyone keeps mentioning 8 letters (not sure the source but fulfills that storyline).

Hercules is a coaster at Dorney, lay that to rest. ?

What about "Emilione" which was what Marco Polo's family called themselves to distinguish from the other polo families in Venice at the time. Or "Viaggio" which is Italian or Grand Tour, a famous educational cross-European trip that typically started or ended in Italy. "Monza Eni", "Vallelunga", "Mugello", "Autodromo", all riffs on famous race tracks in Italy. "Colosseo" is what Italians call the Coliseum. "Pantheon" because it's one of a kind.

Basically I think limiting yourselves to those areas that we are crosses off lots of really great choices.
