Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is the fact that the Park Asterik coaster has a stall at the top of the top hat. That would be nice :)

I’d actually hate that, kills the airtime and is redundant with Griffon already in the park.

Have we seen a top hat that is approached with pretty substantial speed, bordering ejector? I feel like every top hat I've seen either stalls or gives you some floater. True thrill could really help the coaster lineup. The closest we have to ejector right now is InvadR.

I wanna see the 100 deg drop regardless. That’s gonna provide some serious intensity on the drop.

Reports have been spreading about spain finally coming to bgw in 2020 with an installation of a train station behind the festhaus. The black Forrest special event picnic area is not making the park any real extra money. So ita time to put the pavement to better use. Yes you heard me right Spain is finally coming to bgw 2020. Im posting it right here for all to read. Posted 02-19-208

There are reasons why there's never been a train station behind the festhaus. One of the biggest is that the France train station is only a few hundred feet away from this proposed location. It doesn't make much sense to add a stop. I do understand that the walk between them is longer due along the guest pathway. Also a station behind the festhaus has nothing to do with this coaster that's being built in Festa. While I wouldn't be surprised if the master plan for this ride called for more shops to follow in a year or two. It doesn't seem likely to happen in 2020 based on what we know right now.

Honestly it wouldn’t be that surprising if they did announce or tease they’re building Spain. I don’t think anyone expected BGT to tease Gwazi either.

If, in fact, they start building in the Festhaus Park area, I could see a station added near the old Drachen Fire buildings. Depending on the plans (which no one has seen) they could conceivably realign the tracks and place a station adjacent to the Boneyard Rd junction.

A station by the Drachen Fire buildings would be no closer to France than the Scotland station is to the Festa Italia station...

But yeah, regardless this has nothing to do with he coaster.

I don't think I've seen the above reason given before, as a "big" reason for having no Oktoberfest station.

The New France (Caribou) train station is located 1,500 track-feet away from the existing picnic area next to the Festhaus. That's a LOT farther than "a few hundred feet away." Any other potential station stop in FHP would be even farther away from Caribou, so 1,500 feet is likely a minimum distance between them.

For context, Tweedside to Festa is almost exactly the same distance: about 1,500 feet.

It's all about the walking distance.

Certainly there are good reasons for the current nonexistence of a FHP train station. I don't think track distance to Caribou is one of them.

[Edit: PhantomJB93 for the win]

I’ve heard the rumor (no clue if true) that the incline at FHP is too great for a stopped train to get moving.

I don’t think they’d de facto need a new train station for anything in Festhaus Park. I think it’s possible a bridge may be built from Festa Field to that area eventually.

That is not true. You are greatly underestimating the distance between those stations if you think the distance between festhaus and France would be the same. The distance betweeen the Festhaus and France would be less than the distance between Festa Station and the distance to the start of the bridge.

Phantom JB93 said SCOTLAND to Festa... and is correct about that. Go to Google Maps and measure it. I did. It's basically the same distance.

Let's continue this conversation on either the train thread or in private conversation, because further discussion of the topic isn't warranted here.
