General Information:

"Project Drachen Spire," is a community-generated identifier for the Intamin-made, multi-launch, shuttle giga coaster that was originally slated to open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2021. The attraction is planned to utilize the currently-vacant land behind Verbolten, Festhaus Park—the former home of Drachen Fire.

The coaster's main layout—as leaked before the addition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic—featured two launches, two spikes (one spiral, one vertical-ish), and a couple of banked turns. Drachen Spire was designed to run two trains by means of a pair of switch tracks connecting the primary, shuttle portion of the layout to the station platform.

Ok, im late to the party and honestly have not read through the last 156 pages of comments but are we getting two new coasters back to back with magnetic launches and spikes? That to me makes no sense, I would think you would want to build something completely diffrent. It would be like building Mach Tower that spins clockwse then building one that spins counter clockwise the following season. Again, maybe im reading all this wrong.

Unfortunately you are exactly right.

The only "wish" regarding the spikes (spires) would be the shorter one be beyond vertical as the Ferrari World Turbo coaster.
Personally I think that it is beyond vertical from the plans. It's tough to tell for sure but that's what I think it looks like.

Am I the only one extremely bothered by the random capitalization in the title of this?

Why capitalize "The" and "New" and the leave "busch gardens" lowercase?

And then switch back to capitalizing "Williamsburg"?

Stop the madness.

The video intamin produced for the asterix coaster has the train going extremely close to the end of the spike. Hopefully these new intamin coasters use the majority of the spike track.

Not to mention the trains get very, very close to the spike on the Ferrari World spike coaster as well. Let us pray the ride at BGW does the same.

So I've been watching some POVs of turbo track coaster and there is no second shorter spike from what I can gather. It's just a long launch with some hills into an approximately 200' tall spike.

There is no second spike. I do think that we are looking at a charter that is similar but something much more intense. More like what would happen if test track and wicked Twister had a baby.

Oops, the picture was keyed as Turbo in Google Images but investigating it after @BGWnut post , I see its an "in progress" shot of the the single spike. However, I still think the shorter spike on 2021 having a curvature like that would be cool.

I definitely hope that there is curvature to the back spike so that it is differentiated from Pantheon.

The area beside the station that is fenced off; is because, the track would be close proximity to the ground, correct? So the train is already on elevated track in the station and potentially the exit and entry switch tracks. Is it possible that the train departs on a elevated track but the launch section beside the station actual goes closer to the ground ....it drops down ?
