In the "construction update" video, they said it was opening in May. They never mentioned the year.

As of today (SEAS earnings call) they reiterated that all 2019 attractions will be open before the peak summer season. So I'd expect no later than May/early June, before schools let out.

Also emphasized was that there is a new ride/attraction/event in every market in 2019, and their goals being new attractions every year in every market, and something new each year in each park.

Sure, you can parse that and find a way that BGW/WC satisfy that without FF. But I'm confident they'll open FF this year.

Yeah, earnings were at 9 AM EST so I'm sure that wasn't a factor. But "before peak summer season" is vague, things can routinely fail an inspection or two and not significantly impact the schedule, and they've got arguably 3.5 months left to finish. Any idea on what the inspection finding even was?

I'm still feeling they'll open by early June unless there's something major, in which case all bets are off, but I'm not expecting that.

I still think May could be the opening month if things go well during construction. ?

They are also fighting the weather. The rain has made the ground around the area way too soft to set up cranes. Even using mats may be not be stable enough for large lifts. They have been fighting wet and soft conditions from the beginning. The access road was very problematic all through CT. I noticed on each trip how much that they had been addressing the erosion and slumping of the soils on the access. I have multiple projects that are 60 days behind schedule due the fall and winter wet weather. They really need a week of no rain and a nice breeze to help dry things out.

FWIW swing that is says retaining wall, a few things with that:
1 - That doesn't confirm that the supports are in trouble. Something this heavy would require footers going much deeper than the land that they are terraforming.
2 - There could be a lot of things here, if could be that cement is off some. Could just be that the base doesn't go as deep as it was intended. Could be that it's not where they said it would be and the delay is a quick study on that impact.
2 - Doesn't even have to be a problem with the wall in that way. Maybe there's something in the wall that is an issue with environmental concerns.

Project Madrid is gonna have issues with the switch track so right on que!
Are you asking "right on who!" or are you saying "right on Quebec!"
I ask becuase if the former, unless ,"who," is a proper noun this sentence is interogative and should end in a question mark. In the case of the later, If you meant, "Que," the abbrivation for Quebec then you should capitalize the word "que." In either case the sentence does not make much sense and you might consider a revision.
Hold on though... presuming for a moment that the "que" is Spanish, it translates to an interrogative "what" rather than "who." Same conclusion applies in this case: sentence should end with a question mark. But "que" also translates into the conjunction "that," implying that the sentence has simply been left incomplete, thus any sentence-ending punctuation in that specific location is inappropriate. And as a third possibility, "que" can also be the pronoun "that," which might be construed as a valid use if one squints just right and doesn't mind the extreme awkwardness of the phrasing (in the approximate spirit of "nice job pal!" or "you go girl!" or "right on Quebec!").

So madmax may be assembling that sentence correctly, or maybe incorrectly, or otherwise just needs to complete it with a subordinate clause before it can be evaluated.

It's such a relief to conclusively get to the bottom of something.

Yes, I think he meant "cue." There is actually an article about this on this very forum! Everyone should consider reading it!

Looks like they will be showing off the new attractions in just under two weeks for a hard hat tour, although it looks like they arent exactly sure when the contest begins or ends...or when they will pick a winner. Anyhow....the rules are so long that I didnt read them all.
