That would be cool, but I think there is too much in that area that would be out-of-place or need enormous retheming to make it work. Xtreme Skyflyer, Windseeker, Rock Shop, Ricochet, and Juke Box Diner all have too much of a sleek or urban look to fit Old Virginia's woodland vibe in my opinion.
However, I think a few thousand dollar's worth of paint, signage, music, and strategically-placed antique cars could create a more satisfying 50's downtown theme. Imagine a few road signs with some generic 50's sayings or images (think Hubba Hubba Highway), road markings on the ground, the two sports cars spaced throughout the area instead on Juke Box's patio, and some rock 'n' roll pumped in.
They could even capitalize on Twisted Timbers' location at a remote dead end of the area to create a rundown, "off limits" space on the outskirts of town. An "Off Limits" or "City Limits" sign or two, rustic landscaping and props, and an independent sound channel with instrumental folk music or creepy sound effects could create a compelling sub-area and a stellar entrance. Before dismissing this idea as too in-depth for Kings Dominion, consider the
entrance area for Mystic Timbers at Kings Island.
