I get your point but Mako and Cobras Curse are being constructed and were beginning construction under new management, and Mako isnt opening until June.

That is completely irrelevant honestly. Both of those parks are a year round affair, and we're talking about the new management at BGW, not SEAS.

There is new management up the chain, with new priorities.  I believe there is pressure to open new rides with the park.
I thought we were talking about the SEAS chain. I believe the opening of rides depends on how soon the coaster company ships the parts and how fast the construction workers a park hires put the ride together right.

Very much so. If the park stars grading and such soon, opening day could be a possibility. Otherwise, they might wait a while.

Okay thanks also I believe a couple pages back someone mentioned a park exec wanting to get rides ope earlier in the year. Another question is do you think they'll do a frst rider contest like they did for tempesto? I won that and rode it day before opening

I doubt anyone can accurately predict that kind of gimmick.

Yes, I was referring to Joel Manby earlier, which refers to the whole chain. I think Cobra's Curse and Mako are irrelevant, as those were probably too far set in stone to bump up the opening date.

I am very hopeful, because to me, that is one of foremost points that Joel has made so far. It is a new idea to me, rather than a reiteration of old ideas, such as re-focusing their education mission.

There is no reason they couldn't have it done by opening day. After all, they did open a 4,882-ft long B&M hyper on opening day in 1999.

What could dictate InvadR's opening is GCI's workload for next year. I'm hearing they could have some other unannounced projects scheduled to open in 2017.

I'd say we are looking at an April opening IF:

1.) VA winter is not absurd
2.) VA Spring doesn't act like absurd winter
3.) Testing doesn't yield delays like Lightning Rod at Dollywood

Otherwise it's gonna be a May baby.
