RE: Project 2017

So I may be unpopular by saying this, but I'm not going to write off the Viking theme until I see it. I honestly care more about it being presented properly than being 100% accurate, provided it looks like it fits in the area.

The name choices, on the other hand, are all totes butt.

If its is the case that the entire layout has been released, then how come there are going to be elements of the ride that we are going to vote on being included in the final product, such as inversions ?

You misunderstand the word "element". Elements as in small parts of the ride, not inversions and layout changes.

Aren't inversions considered an element in a roller coaster though ?

Yes it is. The color of the trains is another element. When they use words like that you have to listen as if you were a member of the GP, not an enthusiast. You can hold out hope, but I don't advise you do so.

RE: Project 2017

I think everyone is forgetting this is meant to be a small coaster.

That tunnel is gonna be a hard theme to figure out cause I'm not familiar with any stories of Viking raids/battles that used natural tunnels in that manner.

RE: Project 2017

Ah I got it, make the Tunnel the resting place of the Vikings and have them simulate attacking the train as it goes by, perfect.

There isn't much of a theme when it comes to tunnels on wood coasters. Most of GCI's coasters have a tunnel on them. It's just a basic and standard feature if the park wants one.

RE: Project 2017

Being that it is at the bottom of the tallest drop, and also the fastest point in the course, I doubt you'll be able to make out the paintings on the wall anyway. As far as the exterior, I think it should be an oversized dryer vent tube tunnel because hey, it would be a first for the coaster industry and we need the first dryer vent tube tunnel coaster element.
