But what about the purple dots, white dots, and yellow dots missing?

Okay now I really am leaving.

We don't have Purple and yellow, most likely because the park doesn't have those utilities, or they at least don't have them in that area of the park. As for the White, I think it's because they aren't planning to do construction in Festa, there might be white dots in other areas. Plus we aren't marking this for construction, we are marking this for a soil test. Maybe later on they'll start marking for construction.

I was an electrician, I've seen ground markings before, and I still think you guys are taking something special.

Soil tests are mandatory for the construction of any roller coaster. Take for example Wicked at Lagoon, which has some footers deeper than 60 feet in the ground due to the weakness of the soil. Another ride like Green Lantern at Great Adventure only has them about 20 feet deep, but the footers extend out of the ground due to disagreements between Kentucky terrain and a parking lot. Soil differs from coaster to coaster, region to region, and even only by a few hundred feet in some areas. When building such a heavy object like a roller coaster, strength of the ground goes a really long way.

This is my vibe and vibe only. I may be right, wrong- who knows.

Marking of the ground indicates a large scale project. With my background in construction, I agree with Zachary about redoing a massive area of the park.. possibly a re- theme. (Greece- please Greece!) Regardless, we all agree that Festa needs some love.

The rides are dated and the landscape tired. It is a fabulous slice of real estate and a great place to build something new and fresh without breaking the budget.

The markings make sense for a redo of the "tired" areas of Festa. Hey- we all love the teacups and so forth; but let's face it... Tea Cups should be in England. Still hoping for that move- any day now.. BGW any day. I would call it "Afternoon Tea"

Who knows what will be built- what will be done... I am excited regardless. Whatever work is done in Festa- it is long overdue.

**cough- Cough--- please rebuild the Apollo's Chariot station house to a more "realistic historical theme".. and repaint the ride... cough cough.
