Here is an idea, convert Festa to Spain and include a new coaster. Only problem, would the coaster being so extremely close to the theater propose a noise problem for shows?

Also to note, the area at the back of the theater is almost an immediate drop down. That is how steep that ravine is; almost that is.

I will say that I have traversed that wooded ravine area myself. It really does not provide a large amount of space for an expansion. It literally is just a large ravine of sorts. My only guess is a low coaster at this point. But really so soon? A three year gap? There must be more than just a coaster in the works?

I think they could make a whole country out of that area easily. Closer to festa where the land is flatter, they could easily fit a couple of flats. And then use the terrain area to build the coaster. And that area does correspond with Zach's original estimation of where the balloon test was. This is really starting to add up!

Oh my gosh, so much information being stitched together. This is really starting to look like a Frankenstein project.

Here are my questions
  • If this is a coaster, why would all utilities need to be marked?
  • Why would utilities be marked in the whole center section of Festa, but not all of Festa?
  • Could a soil test relate to something else?
  • Could a balloon test relate to something else?
  • Why are we freaking out about this?

- So they don't destroy utility lines when digging? Kind of proper procedure there....
- Because that's the only part any digging will be done?
- They are digging something, so of course.
- Well of course.
- Cause we freak out about everything.

Festa retheme. Concepts have existed internally for ages. Maybe someone pulled them out of a file cabinet and dusted them off.

Apollo and Roman Rapids can stay untouched. Reroute the path over where the arcade currently is and run it straight back down Apollo's lift all the way back to Roman Rapids. This opens up space on the railroad side of Festa for a coaster station.

I'm sure it could. Fairly certain the park would love to enclose that theater one day.

It has the potential to be just a large flat I suppose but with the other things happening right now, that seems a bit odd.

It's what we're here for. Ruining surprises and making big deals out of the tiniest of details.

What would a complete Coaster/New Area need?

Power - tap into red lines - or run new in existing conduit
Communications - Tap into Orange Lines - or run new in existing conduit

Clean Water - Crew and Maintenance Area / Food Stands etc - extend Blue Line
Mark Green Lines as to not disturb them.

Just my thoughts, Ill leave the rest up to someone else.

1) They need to map where the utilities are for Construction, I'm sure they don't won't to hit one during consruction, or the soil test, that would cause major problems.
2) You don't just mark all the utilities and decide to stop at one place when they continue on.(someone else could expalin this better)
3) Yes, but why else would a theme park need a soil test?
4) Again why else would a Theme park need a balloon test?
5) Because we can....

So i'm not a professional, but from prior experiences.... The type of soil you will encounter will force certain materials to have to be used while building. Since this looks to be close to the rhine, i'm sure they are also checking for water levels among other things. Of course they can work around any impediments, but it's good to know these things ahead of time. I'm sure someone with a deeper level of construction knowledge can give some better insight.
