What if they are just replacing the walkway? I don't know why a sight test would be done for that, but it's something to chew on till the four course meal arrives. ;)

Hmm, In the queue line as well?

I would say that wherever these marking are is the extent of the area they plan to touch or mess with. It looks as if they plan on doing a lot of work with the Turkish Delight, possibly Splashus Miximus and the other games, and the Apollo queue line.

What could possibly fill in all that space?

They can't get rid of a Roman Frieze! I need something to do, when AC is down. It is almost a tradition: we go to AC; it is closed; we get ice cream; we check AC again; it is still closed; and we go to Griffon instead.

Perhaps a new laser tag game to replace all the games, arcade, and Roman Frieze?

Again like I said earlier, then why is it painted everywhere else? I'm not saying you're wrong, but there has to be a reason they painted all of the utilities.

What do you mean everywhere else? The areas I listed are along the entire marked pathway area, with exception of the tea cups which I imagine they can place a new flat ride there to go with the laser tag. The only areas this wouldn't cover would be Apollo's queue line which could just be getting redone, and the new Coke shop, which is the only thing left unanswered.

A new laser tag building would require all utilities to be marked.

I just found out an even more interesting piece of the puzzle. SOmeone want to try and put this piece together?

Thanks CK for the site, which led me to this info.

Also to add into the mix the dot the park used and their meanings:

Orange - Telecommunications, general cables, wires, etc.
Red - Lighting, power lines, cables, etc.
Blue - potable (drinkable) water
Green - sewage/drain lines
Double (Red/Orange) - I suppose this just means the lines run side by side.

I would not go so far to say new drop tower, the balloon test was not nearly as tall as MT, so unless the tower will be below tree height, I doubt it.

But we shall see.

From my Google Fu, this looks like they are testing the soil. One would assume they needs this for construction approval. What I find odd is the location.... Within 50ft of the theatre doesn't really put this in Festa....

Either way, thanks for the post PR (and CK).

Searched ECS MId Atlantic and came across this on there website.

"ECS Offers a Variety of Professional Geotechnical Engineering Services
Subsurface explorations, assessments, and design capabilities using an extensive subsurface database for local geologies.

Geophysical surveys, including seismic refraction, electrical resistivity, ground penetration radar, as well as associated geotechnical engineering and design services.

Geotechnical construction services to support new construction projects, i.e. value engineering, review, and sample testing, laboratory testing for soil modification, evaluation of foundation bearing conditions, and forensic investigations.

Pressuremeter testing in-situ (in place) testing performed to maximize the information obtained during subsurface exploration and field-testing programs, and to provide the project team with bearing capacity and settlement analysis information.

Contact your local ECS office for specific geotechnical engineering needs, questions or a complete listing of our engineering services."

Highlighted in red the most interesting part in my opinion. If they are doing "Boring and Soil testing" Seems possible for new construction testing.

Especially the part I highlighted dealing with "evaluation of Foundation Bearing Conditions."
