Alright so I took a quick trip through some of the bigger manufacturers for flat rides (HUSS, Zamperla, Gerstlauer, Moser, Intamin) and here's a compiled list that all fall into that 70-100 foot category:
Huss:
-Fly Away
-Standard Frisbee
-Jump 2
Zamperla:
-Vertical Swing
-Power Surge
-Hawk
-Discovery

-Sky Fly
Moser:

If they would just fix the MANY problems in Pompeii, that ride would still be awesome. Used to love that one so much, but now there's hardly any fire and things don't fall! What is up with that? I need more fire and destruction in my Pompeii!
But. I think they would be so bold and horrible to take down Pompeii. I would not put it past them, especially if they are neglecting it.

Whether it is a coaster, dark ride or a Shamu tank, it would seem odd to build something big now given the coverage here of the park's dire financial situation.

I was going to bring up this same fact. Also, for the resort argument, building infrastructure for service vehicles and guest parking would be a nightmare. One would have to drive over a path in the main loop (specifically San Marco). I have no idea what it is, but I highly doubt that its the resort. Heck with the budget constraints I don't forsee the resort even breaking ground within the next five years.

Pretty sure this site wold go into meltdown mode if a cell tower was dropped in the middle of the park. There is no reason to drop a cell tower anyway. You'd only give better service to one out of the top 4 carriers, which makes it even more useless.
Though since i'm sure the park is reading this.... PLEASE GIVE US WIFI. PLEASE? IT'S ALL I ASK. Also, advertising free wifi for an hour to those in the park is not a solution...

With the park unable to keep up to date with its basic cable bill, I'm sure Cox wouldn't want to be involved.

After researching some of the ride terminology as well as taking into mind the park's financial situation, wouldn't a "flat ride" be a good idea for the park at this point? They seem to be cheaper than coasters and can drum up visitors with as a new ride. The park also doesn't really have that many of them either, so it would round out the ride lineup a bit. As far as time frame goes, they look like they can be built easily if the companies don't already have rides already built waiting for a buyer.

It would make more sense to place cell equipment on something like Griffon or Mach Tower than to put up a cell tower.

There are regulations for installing cell sites. They could possibly mount a transceiver base station on a tall ride but there are limits that people can be exposed to the Radio Frequency (RF) output produced - the closer you are to the tower/base station the stronger the output you would come in contact with. Though I'm not sure what those limits are, a base station mounted at the top of Griffon or Mach Tower might be a little too close for riders.
