[split] Future Park Plans

Guys... I think there may be something on the docket for 2014 or 2015 that we don't know about.

This is extremely rare. I mean typically you guys know it, but won't say anything, now nobody knows!

Please Zach try to find out more information as much as possible, as I shall dig into this myself as well.

EDIT: Completely missed this new thread :p

Could it possibly be a coaster?

With Verbolten just added about 1 year ago; very unlikely.

I'd place my money on a new dark ride or Pompeii replacement.

They added Alpengeist in 1997 and Apollo in 1999, so it isn't that unlikely. However, Alpengeist didn't cost $50 million. :p

Yeah but that was once, chances of that happening aren't as big as them waiting a few more years.

RE: Project 2014/2015?

Only thing CT related would be a giant Christmas tree, im thinking a unique flat ride or Dark Ride. I wish it was a coaster. It could be they are looking for the best place to place the next coaster. If it was that there would be more tests around the park. Keep your eyes peeled.

RE: Project 2014/2015?

I think the height guess might be off. If it was really 110ft then we are talking about something just 60ft shorter than AC.

Actually, by what I've been hearing, that's sorta correct. :s Right around 90 to 100 feet seems to be the consensus.

Again, I have no clue what on earth is going on. No one expected anything for 2014 and this is really early in the game to start tests like this for 2015- especially since all we've heard as of late indicates that Project 2015 may be pushed back to 2016 or delayed indefinitely. Mach Tower line of sight tests happened in May of 2010. For these to be taking place in August... I'm thoroughly confused.

Someone get a list of all the flat rides for sale these days that stand more than 70 feet tall, can't do it myself since I'm on my phone. I don't want a simple bucket list like a Frisbee and inverting ship, I want a complete list.
