I don't have a problem with the ride other than I am wondering where the overflow queue will go.  Has anybody looked to see what impact, if any, the queue might have it it extends beyond the predefined queue area?  I am glad I don't have to worry about riding this ride any time soon. My rule right now is that I am not going to ride any of the roller coasters until my son is tall enough to ride them.  I want to experience them for the first time with him, not alone. So far, we can only ride the rides up to 48 inches.

additional stanchions can be added in the plaza, outside of that where ever the line takes people

I still don't understand why everyone's whining about the ride placement. I think the ride fits perfectly fine. It would look MUCH better if the park actually (I dunno) took the time to paint Apollo.

Its no different from the roller coaster crossing on the river. Yet everyone seems to adore that spot and hates the Tempesto spot for some reason. If you look at the roller coaster crossing, Griffon literally sits directly on top of Loch Ness and runs right up against Alpengeist. Even Alpengeist runs up against part of Loch Ness so it makes the area look cluttered.

The ride area looks great as a whole compared to the original plans. The theming is minimal but looks decent enough for a carnival area. The landscaping looks great. Hopefully once it grows in, it'll make the area look less bare.

I agree that Tempesto would look better sitting there if they would just repaint Apollo's Chariot. Its been too long since that ride has been repainted.

On the other hand I disagree with you saying the area where LNM, Griffon, and Alpengiest sit is considered clustered. I think the exact opposite. That is such a premium spot right over the river the three coasters close enough but yet distant and flowing over the river is such a great way to not only use space wisely but it looks absolutely fantastic especially in the evenings.

You think Festa is cluttered? Pfffft...

It seems a common complaint has to do with space. I am 6' about 200 lbs, will I have trouble getting on this? I have had no issues with any other rides in the entire park (or Six Flags, or Kings Dominion).

Good POV video BTW, but this looks awful damn short. The concept is a good idea, but should be longer.

You shouldn't have a problem getting buckled in, but entering and exiting the train will be a pain. Calling these trains small would be the understatement of the year.

I had no issue getting in and out but I'm a scrawny 5 foot 7 16 year old.... Once again: Tempesto's hang time kept the blood in my head for the majority of the ride, it was exhilarating, and my favorite part was cresting the hill before the roll due to what I consider the strongest airtime in the park. Cannot wait to go back and ride again! Will be at the park during media day, not as a part of the media so there won't be any rerides for me on Friday! :(

Interesting....you would think this park would know what the word "average" means.

I have to echo what Zachary said. Getting to Tempesto was pretty much as awkward as Flight of Fear.

There is very little space between the seat and the lap bar and leg restraints. I am an average-sized, adult woman, and I had to shuffle sideways to get across the car. Once you squeeze your way over to your seat, you have to pull up the floppy OTSRs and duck under them, while trying to sit down. I did the same hover-over-my-seat maneuver that I do at KD, when I am trying to get the seat-belts out of the way, before sitting down.

I find this especially frustrating, because I usually love Premier restraints.

Anyone else going to the First to Ride event on Friday from 8 to 10 PM? Having already ridden I debated going but I do not often win contests so I completed, notarized, and submitted the nine pages of affidavit required for my guest and I. Might this be the press event? There was language in the documents about giving up rights to my likeness something something.

I am curious to see if there is any swag. Contest value is about $5 per winner and guest. I will be taking photos and will report back to ParkFans.

On the ride experience I can see both perspectives concerning the "thrill" factor of Tempesto. I found it exciting; climbing a vertical tower forwards and backwards was completely new for me. The stalls were fun. I finally have an idea of what I missed out on as a kid by not riding King Cobra. Tempesto adds more to that formula with the new tech including what I would guess is 5th or 6th generation linear synchronous motor (LSM) launches and the inclusion of slow elements after rapidly bleeding off launch speed on the vertical towers. It is a fun and interesting addition for BGW, but there is not a lot there for speed freaks.

You should go to the first ride night and report back!  I don't think it is the official media event.

On the thrill side: Tempesto lacks both things I look for is a roller coaster: speed and a long, straight drop. Usually, a ride has at least one of these, if not both.
