RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

BTW...did anyone read the second paragraph..the Catapult building? do they plan on relocating the Catapult..again?

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Even with limited dispatches due to state sanctions, Zumanjaro will have an hourly capacity almost two times more than 'Diavolo.' Zumanjaro's queue has exceeded 3 hours on days with 10,500 guests in the park.

I was complaining about it earlier but I have to bring it up again. This is a good addition for a park that gets 1-1.5 million guests a year, but not for one that expects to break 2.5 million easy and is shooting for more than 3 million. It. Does. Not. Add. Up.

I think it means the water balloon thing.

Is that a good or bad "WOWZA" ?

The kind of "Wowza!" you would say if you accidentally sat on a cactus.

Also, for those of you not familiar with KD, we are likening this project to Backlot Stunt Coaster, one of Paramount's many ill-devised additions. Basically, it's a car chase-themed coaster smack in the middle of their African jungle-themed section of the park.

You can see why we wouldn't be happy if this coaster followed in Backlot's footsteps in any way.

They are going to do the opposite of what they did with Vbolt,

Vbolt
Ride cost = $50mil+ Advertising = $0

This
Ride cost = $8mil? Advertising = $50mil+

I still find it hilarious that BGW went with the one station system while a random never before heard from park in Mexico announces they're building one with two stations around the same time we dig up project 2015. BGW definitely had the option and should've ran with it.

I was hoping for a monorail but I'll take this. At least this ride has a theme. What if it had no theme and was an outdoor station? (Full Throttle) Maybe they'll give Festa an overall re-theme considering it has a low budget.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Honestly, I think it sounds bad now, but I'm sure that something will set this ride apart from other clone rides. Unless this is truly another Mäch Tower, off the shelf ride, I would expect bike style trains.

But it has a budget, and since the park is broke, the re-theme is nearly impossible.
And Banbury/London proves that a retheme to ANY village shouldn't happen with the current people in charge.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

When you see the trains Premier has used on almost all their rides since 2008 the most you should expect is a bike plastered on the front screen. Either that or motorbike seats like the custom installation trains they did in Japan for that baby-mr. Freeze, which is a pain to check as an attendant like every other motorbike coaster.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Does Zamperla have any kind of patent on their motorbike-style seat?

I don't ever defend Mach Tower, but Mach Tower is 100% custom and "unique" to the park. BGW went out of the way adding all this stuff to it to try to advertise it as "not your ordinary drop tower." Now the failure on their part was them going with a company who doesn't specialize in drop towers. Intamin on the other hand does (don't look at Falcon's Fury as that is beyond what a drop tower is). That's the issue with Mach Tower.

Yes, Moser has it listed on it's site, but BGW's is the original and that's what makes it "unique."

There isn't anything unique about this ride. Yeah, maybe a different theme. But I can go else where for the actual experience.

Difference with this ride is that they knew this ride existed, yet they didn't still go for something original for their park. Mach Tower is 100% original to BGW... just in a bad way at this point.
