I'm curious how the track is going to be since the track in the videos for the ESC trains don't look like they can handle the 95 ft drop over the rhine.

I'm happy that Busch is trying to create something new and completely unique here. Griffon and Apollo's Chariot weren't exactly innovative and new designs for a coaster compared to other BGW rides like LNM, BBW, and Alpengeist. I expect this roller coaster to be a return to form for Busch, but I can't see it being one of the most thrilling rides ever; it's not supposed to be. It's given the family-friendly tag for a reason, and this could be a great follow-up for BBW. I expect the enthusiasts will be dying to compare the two rides and probably nitpick at why BBW was better, but I think the GP will be very receptive to this ride. It's different than anything at KD, which is a great draw for the park. This ride might not be better than a ride like I-305, but it's going to be difficult for a new ride anywhere else in 2012 to top it.

Well said

I think that this ride will be something extremely special for the park and, if done to the highest level possible, it could become a standard for other parks, not just KD. I believe this ride will deliver highly and show us something that not only the park has never seen, but the world. Looking at the concept art makes this ride seem like nothing ever seen before.

Screamscape just posted most of the removed images and credits this site for sending them.

We are working to get this fixed ASAP. Just to be clear, not all of those pictures are ours and the ones that are were not meant to be released.

I was thinking that too. But from the images we've seen, it looks like the track is going to be just like the track in Force One.

I'm referring of course to images from Screamscape....you know....the ones that really shouldn't be up...but...I mean....if you're curios it's totally all there.

Especially the name! Thank god they went with Verbolten.

Uh...I know this is an enthusiast forum, but geeez, thats a little much Franco. :p Look Im glad Busch is getting a new coaster, Ive been going since I was small, I live 10 miles away. However, I305 IS one of the best rides Ive ever ridden. Just by it being 300+ feet alone puts it in another category. Now I love Busch, and I think its a better park than KD, but KD really outdid themselves with 305...

Now about this manufacturer, Zierer. I went to their site, looked at their designs, went to rcdb.com and looked at some of their rides and.... Im not impressed. First their coasters all (ok maybe not Wicked) look like carnival coasters: compact, shallow drops, etc. Now Since BGW is sposed to keep trees and things intact will make this ride different from what weve seen, and the layout def is not compact, I just hope this doesnt feel like a campy carnival ride on steroids.

And I know this is a small thing. But those TRACKS! Whats up with Zierer's track pieces? They look like they'll snap off! When I look at a coaster I look at the shapes and the forms it makes, and all I see with Zierer is CAR-NEE-VAL. But I too am an enthusiast, and I just hope Busch and Zeirer really pop out a beautiful baby...

I saw the pics while they were still up here, so I know what they look like.

Hey Franco my last post was misleading. You werent saying that this coaster will be better than I305, I know. I guess its more in response to the "its going to be difficult for a new ride anywhere else in 2012 to top it." comment.

You know, perhaps. I guess we will have to wait and see...

I thought that the name was not Verbolten. Screamscape is reporting that it is...

Yes, we have a name, and no, it's not Verboten. I think it's best to leave the name a secret till we post the big story though. If you heard the name now, you'd probably hate it.

Do you know the real name? (and have proof to back that up?)

That's one of the reasons that not all of the stuff posted is ours. I'll have to see if I can get approval to post proof, but everything I see (signage and all) points to the name being completely different.

Screamscape is only reporting the fact that BGW took out the name Verbolten as a trademark. There should be a difference here from rumor and confirmation. Nothing is set in stone as it seems.

Well, as of right now it looks like it will be better than anything that may debut next year. Cheetah Hunt is billed as the top roller coaster addition for this year, though this is a down year for coasters. Right now, this new ride looks like it has the potential to top Cheetah Hunt and other rides that may be built. Although, no CF parks added any coasters this year, so next year they may try to build a coaster or two that's pretty incredible. Theming is always important to me though, and I don't think any ride can out-theme this one in 2012.

^Disney has already beat BGW to that punch sir. Look up Carsland at Disney California Adventure...

And no love for the New Texas Giant? I think it will be better that Cheetah Hunt.

Well on the screamscape page, the name changed from 2012 coaster to Verbolten... that tells me that they believe it is Verbolten

God. I totally agree with you. That track looks terrible. Despite the images we've seen suggesting that the will have that carnival feel, I really hope Zierer does something new with that track. It looks more like Back Lot Stunt Coaster than "a real ride."

Italian Job stunt track is a fun ride with decent themeing, and considering how many times ive ridden it, I'm almost positive it is a "real ride".... Only complaint I have about the ride is the billboards...

Also, why would they add a more support to a coaster that probably wont be doing anything too amazing to require extra support? To double the cost of that portion of track to make it look fancy and require it to be further above the ground? Ha...

Anyways it's just CONCEPT ART. It probably wasnt drawn by anyone affiliated with Zierer anyways. Artist probably just wanted to save some time with the drawing....

Pleeze...

If the pics we have seen end up being the real ride they build, the track will be just as they've drawn it. They didn't leave out parts of a track just to save time. That's silly.

But you're right about not adding more track parts if its not necessary. Zierer has shown by the coasters it has built that triangular track design is unecessary for what they build. Even on rides like Wicked, they have the familiar track look for their more 'exciting' elements. Just look at their 'corkscrew/heartline twist' element thingie. It has the more robust look to it.

But my point was just as far as the LOOK of the usual Zierer coaster, it just doesn't have that "real" coaster feel to it, that's all.
