I don't know, it almost sounds like good business if you ask me- much better than lying to a room full of people. My question is whether or not it's even possible to fly something like this under the radar. (Zoomy?)

My mind has been blown by the developments of the past few pages... 80ft tall building? 300ft tall coaster? I dunno bout this... Seems too amazing to be true...

If this is an attempt to smoke out the moles, how do you think they planned on doing it? Is anyone really going to be stupid enough to expose any personal details or leak through someone they know could be linked to them? I don't think they are.

I don't have any direct information but something to consider is that this ride has been planned for quite some time, years. This means there are plans somewhere, it also means that BG would have to submit those plans or at least their scope to the county for review. I would have to believe they would have done this by now, especially for something as dramatic as a 300 foot tall roller coaster. Now if this were the case I find it hard to believe we wouldn't have heard something from the somewhere within the county. I fully expect something to come out very soon for this project. The plans for this years project were dated September 10, 2010 and in relative terms is not a very big project. To meet a time frame of completion next spring, they will have to solicit contractors very soon for a project the magnitude of a new coaster with an 8 story building.

Well we dont know how big the building is gonna be. It can be an 80 ft tall themed tunnel, something to the likes of sheikra's "tunnel"... Wouldnt take too much time to build really...

Straight from the Permit:

The narrative provided notes that elements of the attraction would not exceed 80 and 95 feet “above existing grade.” Based on our phone conversation and Exhibits 3 and 4, staff understands existing grade to be 56 feet above sea level (for the event building) and 55 feet above sea level (for the themed bridge).

The letter to the county from December states the building is 26,070 square feet. That's a pretty good size especially if there are portions that are 80 feet tall. All I'm saying with all the site work, footers and clearing stuff like that, they have to get the general contractor that's going to do the work on board very soon.

I know I've been saying this for a while, but 26,000 is kinda small, considering the indoor launches. Rock 'n Roller at Disney has a 67,000 sq. ft. building, and that only has 1 launch.

I wonder how big the actual ride part of the building is at RnR coaster. That whole building there holds quite the queue, as well as a preshow area, loading zone, and a gift shop.

That's actually a pretty good point Pandorazboxx.

Does anyone know how big Flight of Fear's ride building is?

^ Exactly, the coaster portion could be more or less 40,000 to 30,000 sq. ft. IDK. My guess is that the building itself from bottom to top will be close to 80 to 100 ft. total in height... I think that the build itself will heavily use the terrain it will sit upon (the BBW Valley) to use as a means to have more space. Look at it this way, for the less space they go <-outward-> they can go ^ up ward (up to 95ft above the existing grade) and V downward (use the valley to their advantage and dig and deep "basement"

EX. And I know this is very crude, but I hope you get the idea. The new building probably won't be any taller than the first lift of BBW. But its still will have alllot of space for a massive ride!

If you look at the aerial images of RnR, most of the queue fits the ride path tightly, using vertical space to it's advantage. In addition, having been there within the past 20 days, I can tell you the indoor queue is short. I was thinking that without the launch part, it would be about the right size, however, it's been confirmed that all the launches are indoors.

Wow, 26,000 seems extremely small. It makes me feel it will not spend nearly anytime indoors of there aren't going to be any real inversions. I hope that they would not bog it with helices unless they reduce in diameter as you travel through it.

The bulk of RnR's queue is outdoors under the canopy style roof. The only indoor parts not ride is a small gift shop at the exit (go figure) that isn't figured into the final square footage posted. The entrance show with Aerosmith at the studio however is. The queue portion just prior to loading is nothing more than a strip on the side of the track that wouldn't add 3000 sq foot to the total if even near that.

Here is an image with only one more build and a tunnel missing from its completion to give a size comparison.
