Inversions normally equal OTS restraints. If you're going to build a coaster that has to have OTS restraints because it has one inversion, you might as well add more.

Well since it is up in the air about who is building 2012 coaster still I believe There are several manufactures in question that have adopted launch coasters capable of inversions without the traditional OTSR. One of the new designs I saw was a OTS lapbar... allows for more riders and more room...

What about the OTSR on the BBW?

Considering the Wolf's trains swung completely sideways on some turns, OTSR were probably the best restraints to assure nobody falling off.

Yeah, ArrowWolf. That might not be a good idea, although they may put in a family coaster in 2014??

The more and more I'm reading about the 2012 coaster, the less and less I am ambitious about this being the Wolf's successor. Maybe the 2014 coaster (if it really happens) will be more like the Wolf than the 2012 coaster! :)

I think that if the 2014 coaster is true it will be more of a thrill ride, and the 2012 coaster will be more family friendly, but not necessarily "Kidsiderate".

Sorry for spelling.

I dunno... I think throughout Busch's History They've really aimed to only build rides that have some kind of intensity. I mean your average 10 year old can ride Griffon, so why soften your selection up? I think both the rides are gonna be thrilling, the 2014 coaster more so. Not too many ways you can soften up a multi launch coaster... Even certain parts of Italian job Stunt Coaster at KD are pretty intense. This sounds something like that turned all the way up to 11....

From the descriptions, I think that the 2012 one will be higher intensity. I mean why have a multi-launch coaster with a B.A. sounding name but only it only have 0 or 1 inversions and a soft-like launch. If 2014 is real I think that'll be the tamer one and 2012 be higher intensity.

I'm going to have to disagree. We all know that when BGW took out BBW that they lost a big family coaster. I can't imagine they would let there be a 4 year gap between taking out the family coaster and installing a new one. So i believe IF there is another coaster in 2014 then the 2014 one will be the more intense one.

Also lets look at what we know. How intense is a coaster going to be when half the ride possibly could be a dark ride and inside a building. This isn't a tall building either so we know there won't be any inversions in that building besides a Zero G roll, and i can't imagine any great amounts of speed inside the building either. Nothing faster than 40 to 45 MPH. The speed on this ride will be its finale when it leaves the building and heads for the river. An intense coaster would be greater in height and not include a dark ride section IMO.

They already fixed it. Grover's happy fun coaster is a perfect family coaster. Well, it fools children into thinking they like coasters, only to find them in sheer terror by the hands of Nessie. Seriously, If you ever take a kid on his/her first coaster, make sure you wait for the front. The face is priceless. I did it to one of my brothers, he was terrified. After the ride he convinced himself that he liked it, but his face during the whole thing said otherwise.

Big Bad Wolf = Family Coaster

Grover = Kiddie Coaster

There's a difference.

SHHHHHH! Dont tell them that....

Nessie=Family coaster

Grover=Height gap filler

Difference noted.

Big Bad wolf was a good coaster. That said the park can take care of little kids.

Nessie was the tallest coaster in the world 35 years ago and has two inversions. That ride i know is not a kids coaster. When i was 8 I would only ride BBW because Nessie scared me to death.

Let the record reflect that Nessie was my first coaster ever (yes, before any of those useless kiddie coasters).

This is how I break it down:
Grover = 3-6
Big Bad Wolf = 6-10
Nessie = 10+

I believe that the Big Bad Wolf gap does need to be filled and I don't think that the 2012 coaster is it.

If you're scared to death of Nessie, ride Grover. Look, I know that there isn't a coaster quite like BBW at the park, but they don't need to build a coaster that's small and tame to satisfy fans at the cost of advertising the "next big thing". Trust me. The large majority of park goers can ride the big coasters, and want to. I understand the dynamic of a family coaster in the park. I also understand that I have brothers and sisters that are 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, and 19. Every single one of them loves the park, and has for several years. Nessie is a family coaster due to the fact that it has a fairly low height restriction. The park also has several other coaster type rides that can satisfy shorter guests. These include Le Scoot, Pompeii, Grover, and kids even like EitA. You can whine all you want, but the park doesn't need a small coaster. Now I'm not saying that they won't put one in any time soon, or that it would be a bad move. What I do know is that after that removal of Drachen Fire, the park has only had one ride with 3+ inversions. I call that a problem. The park lacks intense rides. They need a coaster with punch.

If you want to argue with this, talk to my bro's
