Thread is becoming comical.

One of these "it was trademarked it must be that" people needs to back date to trademarks filed around the time of AC and Alp.

@Payne: Exactly what I was saying

@Swift, @Scout: Why would they show all of the concept art to people with the real name before trademarking it? That doesn't make any sense.

The fact that the name is everywhere in the concept means nothing. Manta's concept images said Reef Runner....everywhere. And the name isn't Reef Runner because Reef Runner wasn't trademarked.

It's not Elementum.

EDIT: And Scout, I don't mean to say "it has to be that!" Rather, evidence and common sense is really stacking up against Elementum. In the spirit of the conversation, how about you supply us with the trademarked dates for Apollo's and Alpie? To be more interesting, how about providing us with concept images of both of those coasters to see if the concept art name is indeed the name of the coaster.

A four month reviewal process is soooo lengthy for a ride still pretty much a year out from opening.

Cheetah Hunt and Cheetah Run were both filed ~6/7 months ago. It makes no sense to file for it so far out in advance. Well over a year at that. With the massive misinformation campaign that has been going; odds have it as Vercrapper is yet another one to fake people out. That is all that they have done with this ride.

Is it Elementum? Probably not.
Is it Verbolten? Probably not.

I expect for them to change it at the last minute like they did with Cheetah Hunt and apparently Manta. Personalty, I'm calling it Elementum for the time being because it's the newest name we have. You can call it whatever you want.

Here's a reasonable compromise: let's wait until the park officially announces this thing to find out what the name is.

Because that spoils all of the fun....

I'll leave it at this: I'm not saying it has to be Verbolten (I never confirmed what name I thought it would be). But everything I'm seeing points me to it's not Elementum.

@Swift: Yayyyy! Agreement!

Trademarks are easy to search. I have too much to do right now to search it. They of course come up as dead if you are able to find it though. How did you know about concept art? A family member of mine got a hold of AC chariot from his bro 'n law's company. I have scans somewhere on one of 8 external HD's. If I come across it randomly I'll about it then but not making a point to.

My posts are more directed to anything is currently possible. Elementum... more likely a variation of that or Vercrapper... more likely a variation of that. I don't know if you have read this entire thread but it is riddled with misinformation put out by the park just for that purpose.

I agree, even with the stuff a few people have, there are still a lot of questions that are going left unanswered until they officially announce it. Hopefully it won't be too soon since we're getting into the time of year where they usually announce stuff.

I doubt there will be any kind of announcement before mid to late August. My guess would be after Illuminites is over.

Flat Stanley?
Stanley power tools?
Morgan Stanley?
Stanley and the Black Forest?

now I'm just getting silly... The one thing that I like about BG is that they try and fool the guests for a bit to get some publicity. unlike six flags where I found out the new name for Chang would be Green Lantern the second it was announced it would be heading to New Jersey instead of Great America...

This. They aren't going to want to overshadow any of their other events. I would personally expect it around the same time as the announcements last year; the dead time between HoS and Summer events.

The more I look through these pictures, the more I realize that neither of these names make sense. In fact, Stanley makes more sense than anything at the moment. As you're entering the tunnel that leads into the event building, you pass under a bridge with road signs on both sides. The road signs are made to look like they originally said Black Forest with and arrow pointing under the bridge but someone has put another sign over the words Black Forest that says Elementum. Verbolten doesn't make any sense there either. Could the ride be named after whatever is hiding in that forest?

Keep this in mind: This is coming from the themeing manual. This (in theory) is what people will be referencing as they theme the ride. I suppose details like the name could of been changed to keep something secret, but I'm pretty sure most of this stuff is a "what you see is what you get" deal. Most of this stuff isn't concept art- it's renderings of what things should look like (or at least that's how I understand it). All I have to go by are the pictures that I've received.

Six Flags is not good at naming their rides, all they got to do is pick a Super hero name from a hat and there they go.

As long as it isn't Marvel. That's left for Uni to use and pay Disney for it :p

Can you post any of the pictures or are they copyrighted because I would love to see where BGW is taking this because BGT wasted a ton of money on cheeTaka rendering that we're not even used:)
