I would think that if this ride is closed and removed one day, and the planned replacement doesn't need the space currently occupied by the runout and turnaround, they may temporarily close the path to reroute it - depending on what they choose to do, that could open up two plots - one for a flat ride around where the current turnaround is, and the other for perhaps some kind of tracked ride that may or may not use the existing structure.

Of course, the flat ride idea may not make sense since they still need to fix up the Garden of Invention.

looking back at old youtube videos of what Pompeii used to be like inside and what it was this past season, sheesh, so many elements that aren't working anymore. That reveal when those doors opened used to be so good. I hope there is some kind of indoor/outdoor ride that could still utilize that somehow. Maybe some kind of dark ride train that feels like you're shaking when you're actually being lifted to the top of that building, then a short ride following the same track before those doors open and you realize you're actually high in the air.

Since they’ve been doing a back-and-forth period where one year they had a new ride and then the other year they had a renovated ride for 2028 they should refurbish escape from Pompeii after the Le Mans project

With alpie being almost 30, what is the feasibility of a retrack? Especially with a majority of it being in the ravine, iirc one of the cranes got stuck there during the original construction.

Kevin said last year theyres 0 plans to retrack alpie anytime soon.

Quite franky it doesn't remotly need a retract. Besides the midcoarse it's pretty damn smooth. It might even feel worse if were talking modern B&M lol Doesn't hulk ride like shit and it's basically new?

We don't know if it needs a retrack. Smoothness has nothing to do with it. B&Ms are being retracked due to track age, not guest comfort.

That said, that's a discussion for the Alpie thread.

Love that S&S tower idea. Yeah you could very easily keep the Pompeii/volcano theme with that, if not completely re-use the building.

Didn’t BGW once upon a time have concept art for a drop tower/S&S tower that was heavily themed to a dragon/castle or something and would have been partially underground and enclosed? Would love to see them revisit that idea with Pompeii
