I have a friend that hates rides, so she holds it :) If she's not there, I keep it on the platform. I'm 80% sure everyone in this thread has seen the meet-up thread for this. If not, go check it out!

Will the England Lot entrance be open at 9:30? I know they open earlier when they expect big crowds. Just wondering if I could arrive earlier than usual.

Luke's countdown has not appeared recently, so here is my contribution.  His would probably say only 3 days, 23 hours, 50 minutes!

Any thoughts on what we can expect to be able to ride tomorrow?  I am guessing water rides will be closed.  Should we be prepared for other rides to be down as well.

Le Scoot is down for maintenance.
Europe in the Air is closed.
Tempesto is under construction.
Apollo's Charot might have a delayed opening but I doubt it.
Roman Rapids will most likely be closed but expect Escape from Pompeii to be open.
Everything else should be open, have fun!

Why would the water rides be closed? I thought the weather reports were calling for good weather, plus I remember riding Roman Rapids on previous Pass Member Preview Days when it was quite chilly.

If anyone wants to try to do a formal meet-up, PM me and I can let you all know if one is setup. Also, if you can't access the forum from inside the park or would rather get a text message, send me your cell number and I'll let you know if a meet-up time and location is set.

Sorry about the lack of structure this year. There's a good reason for it though. You'll see why tomorrow... ;)

I was at the england entrance at 9 at they said they opened parking at 9. Sweet. Was able to get my plastic platinum passes and shopping pass before 915. All of the employees have been very friendly and helpful.

I don't know where else to say this, but there was a man in a black windbreaker that said "Cedar Fair VP of _____" on the breast, I couldn't make it out what it said in the time I saw him. This was by Griffon. I do not believe this supports any acquisition rumor, but rather that they were casing Griffon e because Cedar Point is getting a dive coaster next year.

^ Cedar Point used to sell black windbreakers at the park and online that said Cedar Fair VIP. Maybe you saw something different.

So no one has asked my opinion, but when has that ever stopped me.  Truely today, for me was one of odd surprises.  I say odd because the preview had little to do with any of it.  In no particular order the things that I recall:

1.  ParkFans in the paper, above the fold, and on the cover!
2.  It seems you are not supposed to take photos of rides that are not operating...  If you are from ParkFans.
3.  They sell Potato Skins in Ireland.  Who knew this?  Why was I not informed of tasty apps?
4.  Tempesto was not the only thing badly marketed.  Josephine's was, for me, the stand out winner of the day! Seriously the ice cream was amazing.
5.  Did I mention the Potato Skins??  Seriously, how long have these things been here?  My whole park experience has been transformed.
6.  Carl not playing nice.
7.  Apparently it is not a good idea to leave gates unlocked that lead to Griffon.
8.  The manager of Josephine's was super nice and friendly.
9.  Nessie is as good as I remember
10. Colossal Carl is a thing.
11. Some people can't fold a newspaper...  (I not naming names.)

other things happened.  I think the park rambled on for 10 minutes or something.  I did not go.  I enjoyed listening to park people speak in hushed tones about the site.

Also Tony and Zachary got video of something I think...

Seriously...  Potato skins.  WHO KNEW!

I was really impressed with the attitudes of the employees. They all seemed very happy and friendly. Last year, I did not get that same feeling.

I have to say I can't believe how poorly attended the park was yesterday.   Sad to see it like that.

I thought the same thing. Other than the pretzel and beer place, I did not see lines anywhere. It was very nice and relaxing. I have not been to one of these in almost 10 years. I remember the last one I went to was packed. Maybe the lack of crowd was due to cold morning temperatures. Hopefully it is not a sign of how many pass members have dropped their memberships.
