So no mention of Illuminights at all - neither of staying nor going?

That was the most interesting thing. They did say that F&WF would be expanded next year, He gave hints such as more booths, and maybe more days. So what was rumored earlier this year might happen next year.

For those of you who don't remember or know what was rumored. To put it simply we wanted F&WF to be extended through the mid summer, and only have Fireworks, on the weekends.

My initial thought is this would be great. But I'm not sure an outdoor food event in the Virginia summer is such a brilliant idea...

Not that I heard, but I couldn't hear much over ChickenKing's super lout cheering. ;)

Not that I heard either but he also did not seem to get such a warm welcome as many of the other speakers.

I tried it liked braised beef, three cheese tortellini, smoked short ribs although mine was very fatty, and the coleslaw. The other stuff was ok but just not to my taste.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, I entered the meeting at around the time the Vlad thing started.

Honestly, I am terrified for Vampire Point if that is just a taste of what they will actually be wearing as costumes.

The Demon DJ, judging by pictures looks like where the event should be at. He will look completely out of place with the banners. Also, just noting there are lights on those banners.

First thing I thought of when I saw the preview imagination thing for London Rocks was terrible and really terrible interpretive dance. Could they not just perform a fake dance number, something that describes the show but isn't in the show since they haven't actually started rehearsals or anything.

The confetti, I thought was kind of cool. There was so freaking much! Plus the fire extinguisher/smoke adding an interesting touch to the confetti.

I was actually hoping to see some sweating executives for the Q&A session. I thought it was interesting how right after the London Rocks preview, everyone sat there for about 3 minutes and Carl Lum grabbed a mic and said, "Thanks, have a great day!" He didn't even step on stage he just looked liked he peeked his head in a room and left.

Don't think anyone has mentioned the logistics of this day. I was shocked that this Pass Member Appreciation Day was NOTHING like the hell of last year. First, there was like 25% of the crowd from last season. They let us in the park right on time at 9:00. There was a Pass check at Pompeii. Then a straight shot to the Festhaus. No RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT crap. Doors opened promptly. Sat right up front in the middle where we wanted. Had plenty of pastries and orange juice. It was a pleasant experience compared to the last time this took place. After discussing with other members, it seemed most agreed that the small crowd was due to...LACK OF ADVERTISING THE EVENT. I guess that may be the case. I dunno.

Anyway, I had a great time hanging out with people I know who have a love for the park. The highlight for me was seeing Ulrich take over the stage. Good times!!

BTW, it disturbs me a bit that there wasn't much mention of Dig It Up; though the stage in San Marco looked fairly complete. This is even more interesting because for some reason they chose to play music performed in Mix It Up during the time leading up to the beginning of the presentation. Just sayin'... :s

UPDATE: Much better videos can be found here. Enjoy!

Our low quality rough cut of the announcement is here!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VB1ehs29PIs
The good stuff begins at 21 minutes and 45 seconds in. No one cares about the rest.

Anyway, full HD (and much better edited) video will come soon but, for anyone who missed the announcement, hopefully what's above will quench your curiosity.

They did mention it's back at around 23:35 or so in the video.

That is all. Nothing much. No love. Still worried about having enough performers. Fiends didn't get much love either; but it is in a better position...you know...pink nurses.

The following are the songs played during the London Rocks portion of the presentation:

Under Pressure-Queen & David Bowie (1981)
Help-The Beatles (1965)
Here Comes The Sun-The Beatles (1969)
Time of the Season-The Zombies (1968)
There's a kind of Hush- Herman's Hermit (1967)
Wishin' and Hopin'- Dusty Springfield(1963)
Can't Buy me Love-The Beatles (1964)
Wonderful Tonight- Eric Clapton (1977)
Our House- Madness (1982)
Come Together-The Beatles (1969)
Start Me Up-Rolling Stones (1981)
Hard Day's Night-The Beatles (1964)
All You Need Is Love-The Beatles (1967)

Reminds me of the kind of mix you would find on a Greatest Hits station nowadays. Whether this is indicative of the music to be played in the show remains to be seen.

So just watched it. My question is this. They must have spent thousands on the London Rocks thing, a preview for a show yet they are using trash bags to decorate one of the park's big new things this year in the park's biggest money maker event. How does this gross mismanagement get approved?

Did anyone get to see this thing parked in front of DarKastle today? Check out the shrubbery!

The entire presentation should have been Ulrich and The Creature from the Black Lagoon just promoting their shows for 20 minutes. I would have just accepted that.

I didn't need anything else. Just those two.

While I can't pass judgement on London Rocks, my first thought was that I was watching the Olympic opening from last year. except the Olympics was much better done.(Naturally)
