Ok I just realized something. How similar to keeping the Arieforce name will be to having the intimidator name where the Arie family raises the price eventually and they can’t keep the license? Maybe not, but possible?
This is not a licensing deal; this is simply a tribute and a “favor” to the coaster community. Intimidator was a unique circumstance, and those names were very protected by the ass-whole named Teresa Earnhardt, who asked for a shit ton of money. If you Google Teresa Earnhardt and Dale Jr it I’ll tell you how terrible of a person she is.

Something I just now thought of is that, at least to my knowledge (and excluding internal relocations ie ragin cajun/shoreline pier), this is kinda the first post-merger purchase the chain's made. Every other ride that has recently opened or been announced were at least purchased prior with an intended park in mind within their previously respective chains, even if not all of them may have landed in the initially intended spot (ie: Tormenta or Bakunawa, assuming the word on those two to be true). Technically, a pre-announcement ride location change would be something that newer management would have a say in and therefore also give a hint to how coporate truly sees the spespific properties/what those properties need (I mean technically in theory they could always cancel a project if they didn't have the money or will to carry though with it ig and not doing that says something but I imagine that is NOT as easy, let alone as worthwhile, as it sounds lol), but as far as the process from buying a coaster to/and/or deciding where and how it fits into a park, either as the singular unit of SFEC with CEO John Reiley or as parks requesting the ride as a part of SFEC, this seems to be the first identifiable/public coaster decision they've made.

This doesn't really change the discussion of where it's going, but (and this may be stating the obvious lmao) I do think whatever park they put AFO in is one to really keep your eyes on, especially when the pre merger projects begin to wrap up.
