I mean no other coaster company does elements like what RMC has. If you are an ejector person which alot of thoosies like, then it makes sense. The bigger RMCs pack every type of element/force you can put on a ride. It makes perfect sense why theyre hyped. Now if you think they hurt then sure they all will suck and that makes sense to, but I don't see how you can say theyre overated lol Every company re uses ride elements. Thats how rides work now a days. Everything has been done
As I said, I like RMC and they've made some of my favorite coasters. I just don't think their arrival on the scene somehow makes all the old coasters obsolete. Their lesser rides are not better than the best B&M inverts, the cream of the crop of classic woodies, etc. And I don't think it makes sense to have 8 of someone's top 10 coasters be RMCs that at the end of the day basically do the same thing as each other when there's so much variety on offer in the coaster world.

Do you not realise how many people see inverts are mostly all the same? If you have ridden montu you basically have ridden all of them.

B&M did very well with their early inverts making them quite forceful but mostly in negative Gs only. RMCs are as efficient as possible in giving you every possible force type multiple times on one ride. They created the drug and now sell the cure. Old coasters will generally always fall off the rankings.

My top 10 is 5x RMC, 4x Intamin, and a Premier. I like B&M, but they don't scratch the same itches

Praying some park keeps AF1 alive though, it would be a tragic loss

That's exactly my point. It goes both ways. Inverts recycle a lot of the same elements each time, but there are certain ones that stand above the rest, like say Montu, that manage to get it right. By the same token, RMC recycles tons of their elements over and over, but there are RMCs that stand above the pack, like say Iron Gwazi, that most would agree are excellent coasters. I just don't think that literally every RMC is somehow better than the best invert just by virtue of being an RMC. Rides like Nemesis, Montu aren't inferior to low to mid tier RMCs.

All in what you want in a coaster. Most just happen to want RMCs. Inverts are amazing though. Steel veng is the only RMC in my top 10s while banshee sits at 9 alpen at 10.

Nah this is nonsense. Banshee, Alpengeist, and Batman are the same?

I’ll give you like Talon, Patriot, Afterburn, and Montu can be same-y, but that’s not the only type of invert. And either way it’s elite

Still share the same elements and forces. Inverts are just positive Gs. I don't agree they ALL are the same lol But most don't change inbetween enough to re ride much. Like I don't see myself re riding raptor at CP unless it's like a complete walk on. I have Alpen at home I don't need to waste my time on raptor.

Just finished watching Canobie Coaster's video on ArieForce One and he mentioned Wild Adventures as a candidate for relocation. It seems like such a perfect fit given the smaller capacity wouldn't be an issue and the park has lots of space to work with. The park has desperately needed a replacement for Cheetah, and this could fit like a glove at that park! We know Herschend has worked with RMC before, so maybe they'd be willing to make this move!

As cool as that would be, Herschend already had the opportunity to get an RMC into Wild Adventures for much cheaper by converting Cheetah and they still decided against it, I would be really surprised to see them take the even more expensive option of giving them Arieforce One.

This is an incredibly crude method of doing this, but my thoughts for this crackpot concept involve a Carolina Cyclone retirement while retaining Hurler. The station would be placed behind Hurler, with the first lift and stall about where Drop Zone was, the dive loop where Carolina Cyclone's corkscrews are today. The ride would continue the rest of the course in the mostly-unused woods that separate the campground from the park.

I personally think you could fit the attraction here with minimal modification to the layout. You retire an arrow, and keep the high-throughput woodie without RMCing it. Thrill Zone would have an impressive new structure with the arch placed above a bold entrance to the attraction, directly across from Fury Plaza.

This would also allow for Carowinds to have a coaster that utilizes old forest growth, which would be outstanding.

I'd be fine losing Cyclone for Arieforce, and if Hurler gets the Grizzly treatment, that could be the 3 best coasters in the park right next to each other

Guess who got bored as hell. The red area is property owned by Carowinds, the layout of the coaster was sourced from OpenStreetMap. @CarolinaDog, this?

If your layout size is more accurate, that makes it far easier to squeeze it in. I see that you have the pre-lift going through Hurler - I think it'd be a shame to remove 2 coasters, 1 of which is wildly popular for this attraction. Try and nestle the station up against the maintenance road near the property line like the one I sent.

Also feel like it would be tragic to not be able to film and watch people being ripped from their torso on the finale. But better than scrapping it still. Airy was so nice because of the path interaction

It was taking me a while to get it all figured out so I half-assed putting it in there. This is the pretty much the only way to keep it in the property, not destroy Hurler, and avoid that building by the turnaround.

Looks like if you rotate it just a tiny bit you could retain Cyclone... LOL.

Fun to fantasize about. I want to take a look at other parks in the chain that this thing could be crammed into.

I agree - however, having that low to the ground finale be somewhat in a wooded area would be incredible. That inversion at the start of the helix would be absurd surrounded by trees.
