Space is a huge issue. This thing is way bigger than it seems and a very annoying shape. Holiday World likely can’t fit it based on my Google Maps fiddling. Kennywood is in the same boat. It’s an unwieldy layout.

The way I see it, here’s a short list of parks that could use it, have the means, and have the space:
- Great Adventure
- Carowinds
- King’s Island
- Dorney
- Adventureland IA
- Silverwood (honestly may be my pick)
- COTALand

Didn’t include any of the Enchanted Parks, as it feels like a big risk and they would lose in a bidding war. This feels like a Herschend or SF acquisition to me, with COTA as a dark horse. I know they’ve been looking into RMC.
Dorney Park does not have the space for AFO at all. Even if they have the horizontal space for it, which I doubt severely, the vertical elevation change is too much to overcome.

This being a spiritual successor to Rolling Thunder at SFGAdv would be so much fun but I have zero idea if it would fit on that plot, that’s for someone smarter to figure out lol

Currently at Knoebles and partially wondering if they would take on the risk.

The possibilities are endless with a modified layout. I could see Six Flags pulling the trigger in the current economic climate to get a discount coaster.

Carowinds would no doubt benefit tremendously from it, and I think they could place it in the forest leading up to the cabins and behind Fury. Per the Rip Roarin' Falls permits they currently use that area as forest conservation, so not sure this is possible. Freight from Atlanta to Charlotte is pretty cheap all things considered.

It'd be a dream addition, but it's a long shot fantasy to me. Fun to think about regardless.

Don’t quote me on this. But allegedly at Coaster Con, the CEO of Enchanted Parks floated the idea of buying AF1 for one of their parks

I mean, when the seventh best coaster in the world is suddenly homeless, I'd hope most chains would at least take a moment to consider if they have a place for it and what it would be worth to them. Would almost be malpractice if that idea weren't floating around some offices today.

What if 2 different chains want it? Would it be a bid off if like 2 people want to buy a house and the other pays more than asking to get it?

hard to argue with algorithmic consensus (and I'm not saying this has any bearing on AF1's popularity or likelihood for relocation) but the captain coaster rankings just seem super RMC heavy overall. Voyage is 36, right below Wicked Cyclone at 35. Phoenix is 51, right below Wind Chaser at 50. Those are ... placements !

Logistically, I mean, good luck with that. This is about the only orientation I could find that doesn't interact with power lines, let alone being adjusted for any terrain. It's a damn big ride.

this would work so well with there old master plans.plus orlando needs a draw to the park right now more than anything. i think they plan to move as much assets from the alanta park to the florida parks

Given the SFA relocation this year and project purple next year I have a hard time seeing SF making another major investment without giving at least a year to absorb and evaluate the effects of those two years of additions.

I don't see SF investing in another major ride for Carowinds a year after opening a record breaking ride. My guess was if SF pulls the trigger and purchasrs it it goes to a core park that isn't slated for a 27 addition.

PR speak for we have nothing to say on this.

I have seen the same reports but I have serious doubts on if a chain that didn't exist a year ago and likely has taken put a serious amount of debt in it's creation is in a position to get the credit for this kind of project but as Zachary said it would be almost malpractice not to look.

Almost certainly especially if ghe company is in as big trouble financially as is rumored. In fact if they are their creditors likely are in a position to force thrm to do just that.

Holiday World likely can’t fit it based on my Google Maps fiddling.

Holiday World won't buy it. When it comes to their four major coasters, they have built a reputation of constructing unique, terrain-hugging rides that blends into the park's landscape. If they were to buy an RMC, it would be brand new and custom made to fit their terrain and not one that's been used.

Yall there’s no way AF1 is being moved. FSA doesn’t have that type of money. It sucks, but it’s just how it goes. I cannot see a world in which it lives. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I doubt that

that's kind of the point, they have no money but they still have financial obligations to resolve. I think that makes a sale more likely, especially if it's up to the creditors and not the park. normally I'd agree with you that it's super unlikely, but it's so new that I think even finance ppl would find scrapping it to be wasteful or at least not the best way to monetize its demise

Speaking as a person who really likes RMC, RMC is super overrated. They have the same bag of tricks that they break out in a different order each time, exactly in the same way that people accuse B&M of recycling their "cookie-cutter" elements. It's ridiculous that basically every RMC is ranked above say the best invert, whether that be Montu, Alpengeist, whatever. And it's not exclusive to Captain Coaster either. Most content creators' top 10s are just a series of RMCs with maybe a few Intamins sprinkled in.

I mean no other coaster company does elements like what RMC has. If you are an ejector person which alot of thoosies like, then it makes sense. The bigger RMCs pack every type of element/force you can put on a ride. It makes perfect sense why theyre hyped. Now if you think they hurt then sure they all will suck and that makes sense to, but I don't see how you can say theyre overated lol Every company re uses ride elements. Thats how rides work now a days. Everything has been done
