Well, last year (and in years prior) every menu option was purchased separately, or ala carte. In other words, last year if you wanted a drink and say, a salad with your sandwich, then you would have to order a drink, a salad, and a sandwich.
This year, however, most menu options automatically come with one, two, or even three sides and a drink. Luckily, if you're like me and like to save money by just sipping water with your meal, you can easily request your order ala carte. So, if you want just a sandwich, just request it without the sides or a drink.
Ordering without a drink takes off $2 from your order, and so does each side.
It's rather inconvenient in my opinion, but at least you have the option to still eat cheap(er).
