Yeah Phoenix Park alone has 190 lamps. Imagine doing that while drunk for 57 years. In DUBLIN.

One of the funny quirks about about Celtic Fyre is that they actually changed that line to “he’s done it well” instead of drunk.

The also changed the line “There’s music like nothing you’ve heard if you know the right jukebox to play” to “There’s singing like nothing you’ve heard if you know the right music to play,” probably to fit the time period better.

And the line “It’s the laughter of fellas with stories to tell, it’s a kiss from the ladies when then they wish you well” was originally “It’s the laughter of fellas with stories to tell, men who love to get drunk and raise true fuckin’ hell.” Probably for the best that they replaced that last line, haha.

Just some of the little details that make me appreciate CF that much more. Anyways — Pantheon.

Anyone else besides me, crossing their fingers for Pantheon to be included in the Christmas Town ride list? As we know, there are a few fan favorites that the park keeps open for the winter event. Verbolten is one of them. We know, the cold can become a factor and most ride manufactures have a recommendation when the temperature drops too low. What do you think Intamin's recommendations are for Pantheon?

Let's consider a few things. Pantheon does not have a lift. It's first inversion is very small and bunny hops carry it to the multi-launch track. Do you think it's unique variables give it an edge over other long stretched rides that require more momentum to make it through the course? Pantheon would receive more support from the multi-launch sequence. Given it's short course, I'd say that it's safe to operate it in the cold.

If the park could pull this off, I could see increased numbers for Christmas Town. Give or take they don't cut operations if the temperature drops below 50 degrees.
I would expect Pantheon to be running during CT this year.

With it being relatively close to Verbolten they could find reason to do it. Is the eating area near the bridge for Verbolten open during Chrismas Town? If Pantheon was open, it would increase foot traffic in that general area.

Man does this ride get a lot of thoosie hate I've noticed. I really don't get it honestly. It's not VelociCoaster no but it's a very fun unique coaster for the US honestly. I come off the ride on Cloud 9 and honestly have no idea how anyone gets off the ride like "omg that was so meh" I've been on plenty of "meh" coasters. Pantheon isn't "meh" to me it's in my Top 15 and I prefer the majority of the RMCs I've ridden to it and a few other intamins. I mean I get great hangtime on the stall, I think the smaller outward banks are enjoyable, then the swing launch sequence is one of my favorite coaster sequences out there. I get airtime on both the top hat and the outward bank hill depending on where I sit in the train and great hangtime on the giant stall. The wave turn at the end is very fun as well. Let's not forget the insane airtime sensation of the bunny hill in the launch sequence backwards and then forwards.

I don't know maybe I'm just being unnecessarily defensive of the five Roman Gods and people just have opinions that are "different" but still like how is Pantheon average? Sometimes I feel like people need to just enjoy rides in the moment instead of walking up to something like "okay this ride is gonna be better than all these rides and worse than all these rides etc etc." and just let the critical thinking mind flow when they're supposed to be enjoying it. I'm guessing it's because of how similar to the ride design is to VelociCoaster that people just choose to wish they were on that instead when they're in Virginia.

My interpretation of the general consensus on here is that the ride itself is amazing and unique, but everything else about its execution — theming, park integration, queue and station design, etc. — is what people are calling “meh”.

Man will that significantly increase my interest in visiting CT when the temps are good for it.
If I remember correctly, pantheon crops up more issues in colder temps. But that was also first year operations so that could’ve been them working out technical stuff. Now that they’ve had the summer to iron out some of the kinks, if it is indeed open for CT I’ll definitely be coming to ride.

Wind is the big issue. Temperature-wise, there shouldn't be too many problems.

pantheon acts up more if it’s hot rather than cold, march 4th went nearly without a hitch til about 3 hours before closing when it went down for like 10 mins
