Turns out I'm on the cusp of being too fat for Pantheon. I am able to get on all the other coasters no problem so I didn't even think twice before getting in line, but the ride op at Pantheon had to get me to basically do a dip on the ride harness for it to stay green after it was flashing red to green multiple times (not sure this was best practice on their part but I didn't fall out of the ride so I suppose these teenagers know whats what with the ride)

I wish the park would really emphasize guests trying out the model seat and checking their height before getting into line though. We witnessed multiple people being removed from the train for being too big and multiple kids being removed for being too short/light. These people were in line for 20+ minutes just to be told to leave. Given the size of the average American they should really get people to check themselves. As for me I guess I need to go on a diet to not slow up ride operations next time.

Totally in agreement on the test seats and height checks, and in the case of most rides, that would work.

The problem with Pantheon, though, is touchy sensors that will be green for folks in some seats and red for those same folks in other seats.

They actually seemed to be more reliable toward the end of summer. Also the last few times I had issues ride opps seemed to know which seats to direct me to avoid and let me get on the next train from the QQ line in a better seat.
i wish they did that tonight. The middle car on the train was having the issues and I wish they emptied the rows, got the green on the sensors (which was happening it just took some careful pushing on the restraint), and sent the train. Just enthusiast frustration I’m sure it’ll subside, but it was frustrating.

Got a ride on the first train of the night which so far is the only train of the night as it shut down do to wind right after. Felt a decent gust on our way up the top hat and it CRAWED over the top hat and up the over bank. Really thought it was going to valley I now understand the low wind limit.

Man, fuck those normal people who ride the ride I wanna ride. The donkeys don't get sidetracked by the shiny big coaster that goes woosh straight down.

We should be glad it's popular. If it wasn't, they wouldn't be dedicating the investments to open rides like these. Coaster enthusiast elitism doesn't write checks, "that damn GP" does.

Id rather them go a few years without a coaster if it meant actually theming it.

I had the same thing happen to me tonight. I was able to fit in the seat and lock it in myself (barely) but they said my torso was to long and my head was sticking to far up. WTF?!?! I’m like 6’1”

Pantheon had what appears to be a significant issue tonight. It is fire alarm was blairing for a good 45 minutes to an hour with multiple fire trucks on seen and the area evacuated with security trying to keep guest away from areas with a view. As of this moment JCCFD has left the seen and there is no visible damage from any angle I have seen. there are several vehicles and park personnel present in the area and they appear to be looking at something under the station. Not surprise they have officially closed it for the night.

Most likely a false alarm. It happens from time to time. We had one at Verbolten when I was there... Almost 10 years ago now... Anyways, there was no fire that we could tell, so we evac'd the ride (locks out dispatching trains if the alarm trips) and waited for fire and security to clear the building and reset the system.

Side note: it was then when I set the record for most trains unlocked with one battery pack (3.5). For reference, they usually lasted a little over two each, but if you were good with how long you had it plugged in, you could get more.

I find it odd that they crammed the entrance to this ride into Festa and even built a bridge when a pathway could have been built from the Cradle area. This would have dispersed crowds better as well as one way Festa now has 3 of the parks soon to be 10 coasters.

Did the pipeline have anything to do with this? They can have pathways over it can’t they?

During construction Da Vinci's Cradle was still operational, so I'm guessing they didn't consider that option since that'd require removing a flat ride. Additionally, though theming is generally going downhill, that area is the Garden of Invention so it's supposed to act as a relatively isolated, tranquil space in which the various 'inventions' can operate - adding a path to a major ride and taking out an 'invention' would potentially ruin the aesthetic.

However, more importantly, right behind the fence is a backstage road that goes directly to the loading docks and trash compactor for Marco Polo's. To have guests travel on this road (not just crossing it) would cause issues with staff travel/transport needs and be even worse for thematic immersion. I'd also suppose that It'd also be difficult to build a themed pathway (different path materials than a road, maybe facades) and expect that heavy truck traffic wouldn't eventually cause issues either.

I know this was a hot-topic when Pantheon first opened, but I haven't seen much about it since. Does anyone know what will be done about the fences around pantheons queue, and the fence in Italy that was put in when Pantheon opened? They seem like they should be something that's there temporarily, so it's very odd to me that they're still there almost a year after it opened

Trying to invision what you are talking about when you say in Itally. To the best of my knowledge all fences that are left block restricted areas and will be left in place.

It's on the pathway in between the Italian flat rides and marco polo. I'm not sure how else to describe it then that

Still not quite sure what you are talking about but I am guessing it's one of these two areas. The one I circled in blue is staying because it served a duel roll of insuring that no vehicle drives up the access road and into a guest occupied plaza by accident as well as keeping guest away from the backstage off limits area behind Marco Polo. The one in red predates Pantheon and will stay because it blocks both access and view from guest of that backstage area.
