Two for me:

- Voyage. I REALLY wanted to like this ride, I did. I rode it a few times on my visit, but each time, by the end, I was just wishing that it would be over. Found it too long and far too intense for me.
- Superman @ SFNE. Purely because of the restraints. Absolutely awful, and ruins an otherwise easy top 10 coaster.

Kingda Ka has retroactively become massively overrated. I remember general thoosie opinions pre closure. Yall all called it a one trick pony with a rough launch and horrible restraints. It just gets overrated now bc of “aura”. The Christiano Ronaldo of roller coasters (I’ll still miss it though).

My actual answer is anything with PTC trains. I don’t know how anyone sits in those comfortably, I literally have to have my knees completely together and pushed to one side bc of that stupid ass bump in the restraint. I’m not particularly wide, either. Just tall.

I would replace every coaster with non buzzbar PTC trains with Millennium Flyers if possible.

If we're already making up our minds on things we haven't ridden, then I think the only thing that compares to the disappointment of the linear slop purportedly being "bigger and better" than kingda ka and then slowly being non-revealed to be the numerically inferior Project Purple is the superscary secret element on Thi13teen turning out to be a 10 ? foot drop track. A mAsTeRcLaSs in overselling mediocrity

Those trains are why I had to stop riding wooden coasters. They made me twist so much that it would hurt my back.

I've never had an issue with PTC trains. My #1 is The Beast and I found that ride perfectly comfortable - granted, I am 6-foot-nothing on a good day, ~180lbs and carry most of my weight in my gut. I have larger friends that have had a little more trouble LOL

They're literally not bad WDYM? They're literal couches. Millennium Flyers on the other hand... 🤮
It has to do with your height and weight. at 6'2 and 200, It is on the borderline of comfort for me. You also need to remember that there are different type of PTC restraints and cars. Buzz bars vs the PTC trains at KD are different.

I’m gonna say it then run for the hills:
Maverick
Ok - since I didn’t get roasted to the level I expected I’ll explain.

Maverick is a great coaster. Top 5 steel for me? No. Top 10? Sure. The transitions are really harsh to me. Turn radius a little too tight. Takes away from the experience of a great terrain coaster.

Cheetah Hunt doing similar things but being out and back means the transitions are a little smoother, and it isn’t quite as jarring. Now what’s interesting to me is I have Cheetah Hunt a little lower in my rankings (not much though).

It took me like 6 rides on mav to really get it. Mind you im so used to i305 transistions that by the time i got to mav it felt like a kids ride. Maverick when it opened was monumental in terms of transitions. Nothing else did what that ride was doing.

Also not sure why but those seats are deffiently different than 305s. They really dig into my parts and butt very uncomftorably vs how i305 sits. Which deffiently doesnt help the ride

I hate to do it, especially on ParkFans, but can we talk about how Apollo’s Chariot is… kinda not that great of a hyper? Especially with the current brake package.

I like Apollo. Everyone likes Apollo. But if I’m ranking B&M hypers in the U.S., it’s probably sitting in my bottom 3 or 4. Maybe even less.

While we’re at it… Alpengeist is the best B&M in the park, and I don’t think it’s particularly close.

I don't think Alpen being the best B&M at BG is a hot take lol it's even my #1 at the park. Apollo and griffon drop to almost the bottom on a almost empty train. They both run like dog ass and feel like they're gonna rattle the trains apart

Yeah, I'm someone who consistently likes most older hypers (Apollo, Nitro, Goliath, etc) more than most newer ones (Diamondback, Thunder Striker, etc)—so I'm at least somewhat of an Apollo defender. Despite that though, yeah, 100% believe Alpie is the best B&M at BGW nowadays.

I think 10 years ago my opinion was reversed, but I honestly think Alpie is aging better than Apollo—both comparatively in its market segment and just independently as a ride—and my tastes have probably shifted some too.
