It's widened to allow access to larger trucks. This spot is where they can pull the rhine river boats for out of park maintenance.....it's also where they launch the algae control boat from...
Ah, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info.

Isn't that what bridges are for? :p Thanks for the visualization though- I had no idea it was that rough over there.

When it comes to topography, Google Earth leave much to be desired. I have a Contour map from the county itself that I'm going to post that's much more accurate.

Also, why does everyone keep refering to Busch Rd? The route I put up doesn't involve Busch Rd.

WHERE?!? I cannot for the life of me figure out where you are talking about.

The only place I can think of is the end near the Graveyard, which was just a generalization that I drew.

It seems this gully is just south of the boneyard so accessing the area from Busch Road directly would require a bridge which would be a very show endeavor to build. It might also have to pass eco-system requirements and such. Where the red line is is hugging park between Busch Road and the train tracks. This is the path that is used by employees to access Germany. What we need is to find out where the areas are protected by ecological studies and cannot be developed.

Hey Carter, you should be able to tell us what the terrain is like back there shouldn't you?!

The terrain is freaking awful. The flat land that the boneyard is on isn't very big at all. It's seriously quite a climb especially closer to Busch Road.

At least, that's what I've been told...

easy fix folks jeez....they can fill in where they need to and grade...and if need be they can fill in where the water meets the south edge of the boneyard. Ooooo rhine river cruise boat entrance to the park via the resort....

Thank you so much for putting all of that together!

However I disagree with the route you chose to the resort. The path you have parked out is way too close to the railroad tracks and would eliminate a road to that whole back area, and would eliminate the enclosed forest illusion that the park has in place right now. My guess is the road will either be Busch Rd redone starting where that other road intersects the main KM road and ending with a new path to the resort or an entirely new path cutting right through the forest. As for those conservation zones, I feel like BGW would get a special permit to build a road there if they wanted too

Can't. I keep forgetting to say this, but the entire forest between Busch Rd and Wareham's Pond Rd is owned by Busch Properties (subsidary of AB-IB). This included Carters Grove Rd and that end of Jeffersons Hundred Rd, BUT because those roads where their before the AB split they are considered "grandfathered". This allows the Park and Xanterra to still use those roads. The Conservation area BPI would want to keep intact for tax reasons.

New info has come to light, that seem to shed significant light on where the Entrance will be. BPI (Busch Properties Inc) has applied for, and is in the approval process, of building a RV lot on the Parcel that was marked as Conservation. http://first.jccegov.com/CaseTrak/searchdetail.aspx?caseid=62419 This may mean that the entrance will be in the general area of this lot. I've attached another proposed route that shows what path it may take if this does happen. The reason I didn't propose this route, was because I assumed that BPI would want to keep that area as Conservation.
Also attached is the Parcel info.

Thoughts?

That does make since, but would put a lot of traffic in RV park.

Here is another way that they can get to the resort location and that is use the road that is currently the construction entrance which would run the traffic around the RV park.
