Oktoberfest Retheming

Saw this yesterday.

I saw that sign during my visit, but it wasn't doing much good. The tables were 90% empty even though the shop was busy whenever I was near. A sign isn't the solution to the poor configuration of the shop's entrance/exit and the dining area.

However, I wonder if the dining area gets more use now that the walls are down for Mach Tower and more people are presumably in that area.

True, the walls did seem to be in the way.

I just wish there was a way that the pretzel stand could be more open in general. It just makes that area feel so claustrophobic. MT's walls coming down helped some and Verbolten's walls coming down will help more, but neither will fix it. It's just always going to be this big box kind of plonked in the middle of a walkway.

I was disappointed to learn after Illuminights was over, that the Oompah band and maypole shows are done for the year. Not sure what the rationale is? They really added a lot to the area.
